5/1/11 VIDEO: CELEBRITY APPRENTICE BUMPED BY PRESIDENT OBAMA; OSAMA BIN LADEN DEAD ANNOUNCEMENT

President Obama put a damper on the end results of Celebrity Apprentice tonight.  It seemed like a “in your face” move on the President’s part.  Tweets were flying around suggesting the timing was impeccable.  Two previous President’s have tried unsuccessfully to finish him off, but Obama got the job done.

Will American’s still care if the President posted his official birth certificate on his website, or will this wipe the care away?  Donald Trump has recently questioned Obama’s birth certificate, but probably will have to go into hiding now.

Too bad we missed the end of Celebrity Apprentice, it looked like NeNe was about to begin a war with Star Jones. Tweets suggest Hope was fired tonight.

The news media is reporting that Osama Bin Laden was killed on May 1, 2011.  President Obama gave a press conference on the topic last night, announcing the major development.  News reports also suggest the U.S. has his body as proof of his death.

Killing of the most wanted man in America, is a huge accomplishment for government officials, who have tried  in vain to wipe him out for years.  It was reported that Osama was shot in the head.

American’s cheered outside the White House soon after the announcement.

2011 CELEBRITY APPRENTICE; NENE CHARGES STAR JONES

CELEBRITY APPRENTICE has taken it to a new level.  With NeNe Leakes pulling out the boxing gloves again, it is starting to look like a lot like ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’.  Tonight, NeNe was in Star’s face like she would take her in a back alley and beat her down.

It is unfortunate that NeNe’s angry demeanor has been taken to such a violent level, especially since she is trying to earn money for a foundation which helps women against violence. She seemed threatening when approaching Star, which made all the other players uncomfortable and with good reason.

When we were first introduced to NeNe, she had a fun-loving disposition, which has not been seen since her rapid climb to “reality TV stardom”.  I guess fame does change some people, when they cannot handle the fast climb up the ladder.  It is sad to watch, but let’s hope she gets a grip and brings the “old NeNe” back.  We really want to see the funny NeNe again!

Celebrity Apprentice lost a bit of spirit tonight, because it was not its typical entertaining show with friendly competition.

5/1/11: CHICAGO BULLS DERRICK ROSE NAMED MVP? NOT SO FAST

Many believe Derrick Rose will be named MVP, including teammate C.J. Watson whose premature Tweet congratulated him for winning MVP.  Well, not so fast, according to Rose he has not yet been informed that he will walk away with the special award.

But it looks like something big will be announced today.  The Chicago Bulls and the NBA have called a 3:30 p.m. news conference today, at the Berto Center.  The meeting is to announce a major postseason award.  However, it could go either way, because Tom Thibodeau is the favorite to win Coach of the Year and Derrick Rose is the leading candidate to become the youngest MVP in NBA history.

It appears fans will have to wait until this afternoon to find out. Fingers crossed and good luck to them both!

CHICAGO CUBS OFFER CHEAP BEER TO FANS; ATTENDANCE DOWN 16%

CHICAGO Cubs baseball fans apparently are not attending games as much this year.  Not sure if it is the economy, the stiff price of tickets, or the loss of interest.  But news reports suggest ticket sales to Cubs games are down 16% this year.

Cubs management is fighting to get fans back by offering incentives on beer.  The typical price of beer at a game sells for $8 a glass, but in an effort increase attendance, reports suggest it will soon sell for only $3 a glass. The special will only be offered on select days, to fans with bleacher seating.  And in May they are sweetening the deal for bleacher seat guests, by selling them hotdogs for $1 and offering a free T-shirt.   Well, I’m not sure if this is enough to attract fans back to Wrigley Field, but it may be a good start.

Although I am not a baseball fan and the cheaper beer would not entice me to attend, it may attract the true fans.  Maybe there are some who love the team, but just cannot afford the luxury of a live game in this economy.

What do you think?  Would you go to a Cubs game if you could save on the beer and hotdogs?
