6/21/11: PRESIDENT OBAMA ANNOUNCEMENT; 33,000 U.S. TROOPS COMING HOME FROM AFGHANISTAN

PRESIDENT OBAMA, announced tonight, during a televised speech, that he will pull 33,000 U.S. troops from Afghanistan by September 2012. This must be good news for the troops, because they have been there for so long, they may be asking themselves ”Why are we here again?”

The war has costs too much money to count and over 1500 American lives, so it’s about time. Not to mention this war has gone on far too long, nearly ten years and we’re still there?

Big shout out to our troops for keeping us safe, but glad to hear they are coming home.

SARAH PALINS SON MARRIES BRITTA HANSON, HOPE I DON’T NEED TO CHANGE MY NAME

It was reported that Sarah Palin’s 22-year-old son Track, recently tied the knot with his high school sweetheart, Britta Hanson.  The young couple married in an intimate ceremony in their home state of Alaska.

What makes me a bit nervous is she shares my name.  I truly hope that my name will not now be associated with Sarah Palin.  No disrespect (maybe a little), but it really may cause me to consider changing my name if people start saying “Britta is your name?  Like Sarah Palin’s daughter-in-law?”  Yuck!

Sarah Palin released a statement, “Our families couldn’t be happier! These are two hard-working, humble, active, studious young adults who grew up together. We’re tickled that after two decades of friendship we proudly witnessed their marriage, knowing their new life together will be blessed”.  Good for her.

Is it just me or do her kids want to grow up really fast?

UPDATE DECEMBER 2012:  LOOKS LIKE THE PARTY IS OVER!  DIVORCE IS ON THE HORIZON FOR THE YOUNG COUPLE.  MARRIED ONLY ONE YEAR…WOW!
