KATIE PERRY CANCELS CHICAGO AND MINNESOTA CONCERTS; FANS DISAPPOINTED

Popular singer, KATIE PERRY, canceled her Chicago and Minnesota concerts this week due to food poisoning and severe dehydration.

The concerts have been rescheduled for next month.  Perry posted the new dates on her Twitter account  writing, “Chicago and St. Paul, I’m so sorry to have to postpone today and tomorrow’s shows. But I’ll be back 8/21 (CHI) and 8/23 (St. Paul)!”  She also released a statement saying, “I am going to return in a few weeks to give them the very best show ever!”

While fans were extremely disappointed at the news, they will surely have an incredible experience when she returns, in the coming weeks.  Sorry, no “Teenage Dream” this week.  But hold on to those tickets!

Is it just me, or does it seem like they feed stars crap?  It appears they all get food poisoning during their tours or scheduled interviews.  Maybe they need to hire an executive chef to tour with them, or eat at better restaurants.  Just a thought.

 

7/9/11: DANCING WITH THE STARS CHAMP HINES WARD ARRESTED FOR DUI

Pittsburg Steelers star football player and recent “Dancing With The Stars” champion, Hines Ward, was arrested for DUI early this morning.  Hines released a statement saying he is sorry to his fans and the team for this distraction.  However, he did not admit guilt and his attorney’s say they will prove he was not impaired by alcohol while driving.

While many are quick to “judge” people who get caught drinking and driving, it could happen to anyone.  As much as people don’t like to admit it, many have been to a bar or club and after several drinks still got behind the wheel.  It seems like DUI’s are only an issue in the sports and hollywood arena, but it also frequently happens to everyday people, they just don’t make the news.

We all know that  drinking too much alcohol and getting behind the wheel is extremely dangerous.  But we should look within, before we judge those who are caught.  How many times have you had several drinks and drove home?

The bottom line, if you’re going to drink, the safest route is to have a designated driver with you.

7/9/11 VIDEO: EARTHQUAKE HITS JAPAN AGAIN; 7.1 MAGNITUDE

Japan’s northeast coast was hit with another 7.1 magnitude earthquake today.  They are now bracing for a possible tsunami.  There are no reports of casualties just yet, but the destruction will definitely add to the already hard hit country.

This earthquake is just another of many hitting Japan within the past twelve months, and it is sure to take its toll on the residents and economy.  The above video shows the quake which had just hit Japan in early July.

Is this a sign of things to come in 2012?  Imagine the fear they must be feeling.

(Video) 2011 PRINCE WILLIAM AND KATE ROYAL WELCOME TO CALIFORNIA

Prince William and Kate landed in California with a Royal welcome. The glamorous world-famous couple were greeted by the famous icon, David Beckham.  It is Royal couples first visit to California, so it will be exciting and jam packed.

California residents waited anxiously for the couples arrival and all cameras are on their every move.  They have a fun-filled, extremely packed schedule, which began with a reception with 200 guests at the LA home of the British Consul General.

Prince William will play Polo today with a long list of stars, and Kate will cheer him on. But the most anticipated event during their stay is the BAFTA party tonight, celebrating the best up-and-coming British actors. Many will have their eyes on Kate’s outfit for the event and are hoping she will live up to her incredible fashion standard.  Only the very elite will get to meet the couple at the BAFTA party, because tables cost a staggering $16,000.  There are rumors buzzing, suggesting guests will include Barbra Streisand, Jennifer Lopez , Tom Hanks and Nicole Kidman.

The entire Royal tour of the states will last nine days, and has every minute booked with events which include business and pleasure.  They will certainly be in need of some rest upon their return, because the visit will wear them out!
