(7/17/11 VIDEO) WOMEN’S WORLD CUP FINALS; JAPAN BEATS U.S.

The U.S. women’s soccer team has come a long way, making the World Cup finals for the first time since 1999.  Today they put their best foot forward (literally), trying to beat Japan.  It was a historic moment for Americans who were cheering them on all the way.

During the early rounds the U.S. scored as many cheered, but then Japan tied the game, sending them into overtime.  Japan went on to win, but the U.S. women can hold their heads high.  They played hard and went further than they have in quite some time.

Big shout out to the U.S. women, great job!

(7/17/11 Video) BRITAIN’S TOP COP RESIGNS, REBEKAH BROOKS ARRESTED; MURDOCH SCANDAL ON FIRE!

The “World of The News” phone hacking scandal is rocking the Brit’s like nothing before.  First, newly resigned Chief Executive Rebekah Brooks was arrested today, now Britain’s top cop announced his resignation.

Brooks was arrested today, due to her possible involvement in phone tapping and payouts to cops for information.  Soon after her arrest Commission of Police, Sir Paul Stephenson, suddenly resigned saying he wants to keep the force from being “distracted.” He went on to say his integrity is “still in tact”, implying he is innocent.  Seriously?  If he was not guilty of participation, why wouldn’t he step up the investigation and come down hard on the suspects?  Innocent police rarely resign if they are not involved in a crime.

It seems like the newspaper tabloid went too far to please their readers. Maybe the Sun, The National Enquirer and other tabloids are now shaking in their boots.  Who else became unethical to sell papers?  It is sure to come out soon.  I always wondered how they seem to know about everyone’s personal lives so far in advance.  We know they hide behind trees to take photos, but tapping a phone is beyond criminal.

This whole scandal will stoop to a new low, if police are found to be involved in taking payoffs to supply personal information.  This is sure to cause more people to quit and certainly more arrests.  Ten have already been arrested, so down with the criminals.  Shame on them all!

Maybe Princess Diana is smiling down on this day.  Finally, some justice for the “right of privacy” for so many.

(7/17/11 VIDEO) CASEY ANTHONY RELEASED FROM JAIL TODAY, ANGER RISES

CASEY ANTHONY was released from a Florida jail at midnight.  Over 1000 people stood outside and watched as she was escorted to a car and whizzed away. It’s safe to say the release was probably scheduled for  late evening, to prevent many more angry protestors from trying to attack Casey.

The release comes days after she was found not guilty of murdering her small child Caylee Anthony.  Although it was reported that Casey Anthony has applied for a name change, she can be certain that her new name will be revealed, and there will be nowhere to hide.  It will be impossible to change her identity and she will be marked for life.

Talks of movie/book deals, interviews and magazine photo shoots are on the table, along with reports that Jerry Springer productions offered her a million dollars for an interview.  But in the end, she will learn that no amount of money offered will wipe away her tarnished reputation and the public will be less forgiving.

As she walked out of the jail wearing a bright pink shirt an blue jeans, I wonder what went through her mind.  Fear?  Excitement? Joy? One things for sure, unfortunately it was probably not Caylee.

It would not be surprising if she left the country and hid under a rock for a very long time. What a tragic story.
