[VIDEO] WHO WON ‘THE VOICE’ 2013? RECAP & REVIEWS…AND THE WINNER IS?

So who won “The Voice” 2013?  Well, first let me start with just how much I enjoyed the finale.  It was full of excitement and guest performances which were flawless.

My personal favorite was the performance by WORLD renowned artist Lady Gaga!  I wondered how she would pull off her mega hit Do What You Want without R. Kelly, but her replacement, Christina Aguilera, did it justice.  They rocked it….and it was purely entertaining.  If you missed it, check out the video below…it will blow your mind!

The collaboration of Celene Dion and Tessanne Chin was my second favorite performance.  It was obvious this finalist was in awe singing with such a superstar.

When the top contestants joined the three finalists, Jacquie Lee, Will Champlin and Tessanne Chin
this was also jaw dropping.  They were all so good!  It reminded me just how much talent was unveiled this season on The Voice.

In the end, it was no surprise that the clear favorite won ‘The Voice’.  Yes, it was Tessanne Chin….Yes she deserved it…Yes she is already a SUPERSTAR…Yes, she was my pick to WIN.  This was a no brainer…she is seasoned, flawless and pure perfection. Jamaica was certainly cheering for her…I could hear them all the way in CHICAGO!

Very happy that ‘Team Adam’ finally beat out Blake Shelton…was getting a bit tired of his bragging.  Maybe Blake will be a bit more reserved next season!  Now Mr. Levine can be the “Sexiest Man Alive” AND The Voice winner!

Great job to the producers…by far their BEST finale yet. However, I do have one question for them.  Why would they shove a mic in the hands of the winner and make them sing after telling them they won?  How crazy is that!  She could barely get the notes out….surprised she even remembered the lyrics:).

On another note, I am really happy to see Christina in a more humble light.  At least this year it is not ALL ABOUT HER.  Maybe her new confidence since slimming down has brought our her “better side”. She normally annoys me…:).

COMPARE THE DUET WITH THE LADY GAGA & R. KELLY VERSION BELOW….THOUGHTS?

(VIDEO) 2011: GAY TEEN ACTIVIST RODEMEYER COMMITS SUICIDE DUE TO BULLIES; LET’S HOPE “IT GETS BETTER”

In a tragic twist, a young 14-year-old gay activist trying to break the cycle of bullies, committed suicide this week.  Jamey Rodemeyer recently posted a video on Youtube promoting the “It Gets Better” project hoping to speak out on behalf of other homosexuals being bullied. But this weekend it appeared too much to handle, so the Buffalo New York teen posted a farewell note online just before taking his own life.

Rodemeyer spoke out on Youtube about his experiences with bullies for being gay and his video was well received by supporters. This even included singing pop icon, Lady Gaga, who reached out to show she backed him 100%.  But backlash came along with the praise and this included “cyberbullies” who posted extremely disparaging comments, and now may face hate crime charges.

It is sad to hear that he felt the attacks so painful he could not bear it any longer. That his voice was not heard by the ones with a grudge.  Although there is strong debate and hatred towards many who are considered “different”, anyone could be a target for being bullied.  Maybe you are physically challenged, have weight issues, not popular with the in-crowd, are of the wrong race or ethnic group, or just don’t seem to fit in.  Before you judge anyone for any reason, it is important to remember you too could become a victim of bullies and pushed over the edge.  It is not important that you agree with a certain lifestyle, it is important that you respect others choices.  In the end “to each his own.”

Jamey Rodemeyers’ plight to educate others may not have happened in life, but maybe his message will be heard in death.  Let’s hope his tragic exit may be a lesson to all who bully others around the world.  Bullies are found in every culture, but no-one likes a bully.

R.I.P. – May the “It Gets Better” project help those in need of support.  Let’s hope it gets better.

(VIDEO 2011) BEYONCE FAKED HER PREGNANCY BUMP ON MTV AWARDS; SO WHAT!

The big story in the media today is that singer Beyoncé Knowles wore a prosthetic belly on the recent MTV Awards show.  After her performance she smiled as she announced to the world she’s pregnant and rubbed her stomach…now the backlash.  Seriously?

In the end she is expecting a baby, who cares if she decided to announce it on her own terms.  It’s probably a false rumor anyway, but if it is true…so what!  Let her just enjoy the news of her and Jay-Z becoming new parents and leave Beyoncé alone.

With all the devastation happening in the world right now, there has to be a bigger story out there.

(VIDEO) 2011: ADELE ROCKS MTV AWARDS; BEST PERFORMANCE OF THE NIGHT

The 2011 MTV Awards show had a standout tonight.  Fairly new to the scene singer, Adele, rocked the show with an incredible performance of “Someone Like You”.  This was by far the BEST vocal of the night, even blowing away Lady Gaga.  Her amazingly sultry voice sends chills through your entire body.

Adele has one of the most powerful voices of this decade and she is certain to be around for a very long time. The above video shows her effortless raw talent to its fullest.  I could listen to her for hours.

(Video) 2011: LADY GAGA OPENS MTV AWARDS AS A MAN; HAS SHE LOST HER MIND?

We all know Lady Gaga is the queen of promotion, but has she now officially lost her mind?  She opened tonight’s 2011 MTV Video Music Awards as her male alter ego Joe Calderone.  It was incredible to see the transformation, because she pulled it off, wearing a black suit and white t-shirt she looked just like a man.  But unfortunately not a very attractive one.

I guess she ran out of meat and ridiculous ideas for over-the-top costumes.  Lady Gaga went straight into her male character by delivering an extensive rant about his “girlfriend” Gaga.  It seems she continues to keep herself in the spotlight by creative outrageous self-marketing stints, which reminds many of the first master of promotion, Madonna.

Tonight she was dressed a lot different from past awards shows, including above video.  But let’s hope she sticks with being a female performer, it may be more her style. Not sure the world would go “Gaga” for Joe.

(VIDEO) STARS HELP HOUSTON FAMILY AFTER DEADLY CRASH; JUSTIN BIEBER, LADY GAGA & OTHER CELEBS ASK FANS TO DONATE

After a deadly car crash, a Houston family was torn apart.  The parents involved in the accident were killed, and their three children were critically injured.  When Justin Bieber’s Manager, Scooter Braun, sent a letter requesting help from stars, many reached out and started a donation campaign.

The accident occurred July 3rd, on their way back from their Colorado vacation.  The fatal crash paralyzed the orphaned sons 8-year-old Aaron and 9-year-old Peter, and injured their 6-year-old sister.  They are being treated in Chicago.

Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and P. Diddy visited the wounded children at the hospital and are now helping with the campaign.  Ellen DeGeneres and Britney Spears also took part in the “show your hearts” campaign which began this week, and took to Facebook and Twitter to get the word out.

The children are reported to need long-term medical care after their serious injuries, and the trauma of their loss will likely require intense therapy.  It is a sad and tragic story, let’s just hope fans pull through and help.

Fans can text “Berry” to donate $10 or go to www.showyourhearts.com to contribute to a trust fund set up for the children.

It’s good to hear stars are using their influence to support the family.

(Video) 7/27/11: LADY GAGA GUEST JUDGE ON “SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE”, WITH SUNGLASSES?

LADY GAGA was a guest judge on the popular show “So You Think You Can Dance”, but everyone is still trying to figure out how she could see the contestants.  The pop singing icon offered reviews through dark sunglasses and a blue wig hiding most of her face, during the first round.   She also sounded like a senior citizen, due to the sun glasses pinching her nostrils so tight.  Thank goodness she decided to take the glasses off and remove the hat in between commercials.

Overall, the contestants were in awe of her offering rave reviews about their dance performances.  But they had to be thinking “What the hell is she wearing?”  In her typical flamboyant fashion, she was dressed in a freakish outfit, which included 10-inch “monster boots” and a red military style hat to match.

She was even brought to tears (as a fly crawled on her hat) by one performance and seemed more eccentric than usual, if that is even possible. But I guess if you sell over 60 million CD’s and win 5 Grammy’s, you can be a weird as you like.  Her fans seem to adore her and don’t seem to mind that she acts as though she is from a different planet.  It appears Lady Gaga was “Born This Way” and has no plans of changing.

(VIDEO) FAMED SAX PLAYER CLARENCE CLEMONS DIES AT AGE 69

Famed saxophone player Clarence Clemons has passed away at the age of 69-years-old. The spokesman for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band says Clemons suffered complications after his recent stroke, and died in a Florida hospital last night.

Clemons played on many of Bruce Springsteen’s hit songs since 1972 and was a huge part of his tour. His saxophone was an important part of mega hits such as; “Thunder Road,” “Badlands” and “Jungleland.”  Clemons was praised for his role in helping Springsteen and the E Street band become a part of the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame.

Clemons grew up in Norfolk, Va, and was so talented he won a scholarship for his musical talents.  Many of his fans called him “The Big Man” due to his large 6 foot 5 frame. Even Lady Gaga was a fan and showcased his talent on this years season finale of American Idol, where he was featured in her ‘Born This Way’ single.

He will be greatly missed by his fans and especially Bruce Springsteen, with whom he shared a special bond.

AMAZON LOSES $3 MILLION IN LADY GAGA PROMOTION?

On May 23, 2011, Amazon offered Lady Gaga’s latest album for the ridiculously low price of 99 cents.  It was a special promotion to attract customers and increase album sales.  But reports suggest this stint may have caused Amazon to lose about $3 million in revenue.

Lady Gaga’s Born This Way, normally sells for $6.99, on Amazon.  And while the sales volume was so high, it crashed the server, it was not sold in enough quantity to make up for the revenue required to turn this into a success. They basically spent too much to make a good return on investment.

Amazon was reported to have paid Interscope’s distributor, Universal, $8 per album which is at full wholesale price. They decided to accept the difference as a loss, probably hoping to make up for it in sales volume.  But Billboard reported that Amazon’s two-day sale grossed about 440,000 digital sales; and if this is true, it means they probably lost more than $3 million on the promotion.

While Lady Gaga can walk all the way to the bank with a big smile on her face once again, Amazon may be hiding in a corner with their tail between their legs.  Or are they?  The publicity received may be worth every penny of the $3 million dollar loss, based on the cost to advertise these days.

5/25/11: SCOTTY MCCREERY WINS AMERICAN IDOL, NO BIG SURPRISE – INCREDIBLE PERFORMANCES

AMERICAN IDOL named its fourth male contestant to win in recent seasons.  Scotty McCreery was an early favorite, and his consistency sealed the deal for him in the end.  McCreery took home the prize as “American Idol” with a record 122 million votes coming in last night.  It would be interesting to see if he blew Lauren away, because in past seasons they hinted at how close they were, but not tonight.

It is not surprising that Scotty won Idol, the show seems to attract a lot of young teens who would vote for a cute boy, ahead of a girl.  Some may have thought Lauren would have received the “girl power” vote, but it’s clear, love conquers the soul.  And the girls were in love with Scotty.

To prove this point, the past four American Idol winners were guys, season 7 - David Cook, season 8 – Kris Allen, season 9 – Lee Dewyze and now season 10 – Scotty McCreery.  When will the girls take the lead again?  Where are the great singers like  Carrie Underwood, Fantasia and Kelly Clarkson?  The girls need to take over next year to balance this out!

The star filled night featured many incredible performances.  The new song performed by Lady Gaga, sounds like it will be another hit.  The Beyoncé slow jam “1 +1″ written by the Dream, was a truly dynamic song that she sang beautifully and with a lot of passion.  I absolutely loved her performance. Marc Anthony added great flavor with a rockin latin song along  side of Jennifer Lopez, dancing great as his supportive wife.  And who does not love Steven Tyler singing “Dream On”, it was incredible!

Overall the performances were some of the best of all seasons combined.  It was the top Idol finale in a long time, seems like the new judges and great singers made it easier to swallow the loss of Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul.  But we still miss them just a touch.

On a side note, where was Jimmy Levine tonight?  I thought he was signing on the new Idol?  Seems like he would be there to cheer them on…oh well, he must have been busy.  And Lee Dewyze tweeted he was not asked to perform tonight…not enough record sales?
