[VIDEO] 2013: ATLANTA HOUSEWIVES’ NENE LEAKES LANDS $1 MILLION CONTRACT; IS SHE WORTH IT?

Reality TV star NeNe Leakes has been a fan favorite on the Bravo hit reality show “The Real Housewives of Atlanta“.  She is now laughing her way to the bank as the highest paid housewife, after securing a $1 million contract.  Her saying “I’m Rich Bi%@#!” now has true meaning…guess you can create your own reality.

Many may be shocked that an ex-stripper and divorcée could land such a big deal.  But it goes to show that viewers still appreciate a loud mouth, crap talker, who “keeps it real“.  I have to agree, she is my favorite housewife, and although she briefly became “Angry NeNe“‘, this season she has gone back to her roots.

But is she worth $1 million in cold cash?  Well, based on the huge ratings of the show and her roles on “The New Normal” and “Glee“, she is now a bonified star.  It’s a good time for her to cash in on her fame and share in the networks profits, since she was a huge part of its success.

This probably hit her in the nick of time, since rumors that her new sitcom “The New Normal“, is on the chopping block.  Love her or hate her, she is still the only reason many watch “Housewives of Atlanta“.  NeNe clearly has a huge fan base with over 1 million twitter follower’s.

In the end, reality shows have provided an outlet for everyday people to find success without a huge amount of talent.  I am all for it…since not everyone can be a triple threat like Jennifer Lopez.

Good for her…she gives hope to ALL the strippers around the world.  There can be a light at the end of the tunnel (or pole).  Although NeNe has somehow blocked me from following her on Twitter…she is still my fav:).

On another note, never could figure out why they call them housewives?  Never see them clean a house, care for a child and most are not even married.  What’s up with that?  Guess I could star on that show…well 2 out of three.

2011 CELEBRITY APPRENTICE; NENE QUITS, STAR JONES YOU’RE FIRED!

CELEBRITY APPRENTICE has been heated this season, especially when it comes to Star Jones and NeNe Leakes.  Well last night NeNe refused to drop her feud with Star, and when they continued their ongoing differences and Star complained, Donald Trump split up the teams.

Once NeNe heard about the change she accused Trump of taking Stars side and abruptly quit without informing her teammates.  Although Trump tried in vain to save her, she refused to return.  Later Stars’ insufficient branding caused her team to lose and Meatloaf pushed hard to prove the point.

When Marlee, Star and Meatloaf found themselves on the chopping block, Meatloaf challenged Star outside the boardroom.  During the dispute, he called her “Sweetie” which angered her more than his accusations about her branding error.   The discussion became loud and when Trump overheard her whining about being called “sweetie”, he later used it against her in the boardroom.  He thought her feelings that Meatloaf was demeaning her by using that word was ridiculous and quickly said ” Star you’re fired!”

With the loss of NeNe and Star, it will be hard to tell if the ratings will continue to surge (up by 1 million viewers)  this season.  The upcoming finale is around the corner, so the timing may save the ratings just in the nick of time.  Many are wondering if NeNe will be invited back to defend herself during the finale, but only time will tell.

2011 CELEBRITY APPRENTICE; NENE CHARGES STAR JONES

CELEBRITY APPRENTICE has taken it to a new level.  With NeNe Leakes pulling out the boxing gloves again, it is starting to look like a lot like ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’.  Tonight, NeNe was in Star’s face like she would take her in a back alley and beat her down.

It is unfortunate that NeNe’s angry demeanor has been taken to such a violent level, especially since she is trying to earn money for a foundation which helps women against violence. She seemed threatening when approaching Star, which made all the other players uncomfortable and with good reason.

When we were first introduced to NeNe, she had a fun-loving disposition, which has not been seen since her rapid climb to “reality TV stardom”.  I guess fame does change some people, when they cannot handle the fast climb up the ladder.  It is sad to watch, but let’s hope she gets a grip and brings the “old NeNe” back.  We really want to see the funny NeNe again!

Celebrity Apprentice lost a bit of spirit tonight, because it was not its typical entertaining show with friendly competition.

CELEBRITY APPRENTICE; NENE HAS A RUDE SIDE

Anyone watching the hit show, ”Celebrity Apprentice” featuring Donald Trump, is probably furious right now.  It has been a season filled with celebrity outburst and rude behavior, but NeNe Leakes took it to a new level last night.  While her fame only comes from the reality show “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”, she is behaving as though she is Barbara Streisand.

During the last episode, NeNe was upset with La Toya Jackson (Michael Jackson’s sister) so she pulled out her boxing gloves and swung hard.  Sounding like a complete bully, she told La Toya that was “riding on her last name for the past 50 years and she’s old” and ended it with “she isn’t smart”.  If that is how she truly felt, she should have bit her tongue, seeing she really has not done anything herself, unless you want to call being on a reality show an accomplishment.

It was sad to see La Toya get a smack down by NeNe.  And it was very disappointing to see NeNe’s ”rude side”.  What happened to the NeNe we all loved from the first season of “The Housewives of Atlanta?”  She was funny, happy and full of life…now she just seems like a bitter old woman.

NeNe imposter, please bring the real NeNe back!  We miss her…
