Many of my blog fans are asking…Who will win The X Factor? Well, anything could happen. The season finale is tonight and will certainly have viewer’s on the edge of their seats. There is a $5 million recording contract on the line, so the contestants want it bad and America is excited to see who will win.
Will it be Carly Rose Sonenclar, Tate Stevens or Fifth Harmony? Check out my predictions for the winner are posted in above video…check back later and see if I got it right.
The guest stars include; Pit Bull and One Direction, so it should be a finale to remember.
Who do you think will win? Let’s face it…they are all winners!
On another note; due to technical difficulties this blog is for my late night viewers! Looks like all video’s were merged…think of it as some are out-takes! Guess everything happens for a reason….which one do you like best? LOL…ENJOY!
The X Factor finals aired tonight and they can only hope that millions tuned in to see who would win. It was down to soulful singer Carly Rose Sonenclar, instant mega-group Fifth Harmonyand country singer Tate Stevens.
They opened the show as many have this week, with at tribute to Sandy Hook Elementary School victims. It was a great rendition of Michael Jackson’s hit song “You Are Not Alone” with the full cast of contestants. The back-drop of the victims names, with heartfelt vocals, was a special way to honor the 26 innocent victims who lost their lives. It seemed especially touching for Vino Alan, who was extremely passionate during his small part.
First to hit the stage was my favorite singer, Carly Rose Sonenclar. Singing a repeat of “Feel Good”, she received huge praise from the judges. I guess you can take the risk of singing it again, if you nail it. Carly is definitely an “old soul”, because she has vocal ability far beyond a 13-year-old.
Tate Stevens was next up and continued to stay consistent. Right now it’s probably his to lose, since the country fans are solid and extremely loyal. He also has a very pure demeanor and his incredible voice adds to his appeal. Although he also sang a repeat…at least he sounded great. It actually sounded better than the first time.
Surprise finalist Fifth Harmonywere put in a great position being third. Their mantra “anything could happen”...seems to be working in their favor. They may be underdogs, but never really have been given proper credit and could potentially pull ahead. Once again, their harmony was spot on and singing “Anything Could Happen” was my absolute favorite performance from them throughout the show. When I push rewind multiple times…it’s a hit! Could not get this song out of my head, this time nor the last.
The contestants went on to perform new songs with top artists and all rocked the house. Carly and LeAnn Rimes (was she drunk?). Tate and Little Big Town. Fifth Harmony and Demi Lavato. It will be a tough night for viewer’s because they are all equally talented. Great duo’s…great performances. Demi just won me back as a fan of her music…but she’s still a better singer than judge. And Carly singing Hallelujah was my favorite performance of the night. Finally…chills. Second favorite…Fifth Harmony “Let It Be”…chills again.
To switch gears…it’s still shocking to me that The X Factor has such low ratings. Incredible talent..check. Amazing stage sets…check. Stellar song choices…check. Oh wait…HORRIBLE judges…uncheck. Too many hosts…uncheck. Too many changes…uncheck.
Maybe Simon should have let Paula Abduland Nicole Scherzinger stick around at least one more season before changing it up… they would have been loyal for sure. I will keep posting my video tips above until SIMON COWELL listens to his fans. Come on hit play already! Love the show and want it to succeed!
Who will win The X Factor? It will very likely come down to Carly and Tate. I’m hopeful Carly will win the $5 million dollar prize, but would not be surprised if Tate runs away with it. Love Fifth Harmony, but not sure they will have the fan votes, however, they will have an incredible music career.
Any bad performances tonight? Absolutely not!
On another note…Did Britney send Carly to hat school? Was Khloe playing school girl dress-up? Sorry, she looked ridiculous. Maybe she did not fire her stylist after all. And my mom was pissed they repeated songs…but they probably had to stick with what got them here in the first place. Playing it safe…sometimes works.
Anyone tuning into The X Factoris probably not surprised that LA Reidis not returning next season. He just announced his upcoming departure; made worse by his negative comments. In an interview he is quoted as saying; “I Am Not Enhancing My Cred By Coaching A Chubby Middle-Aged Country Singer”. Apparently LA wants to focus on his record label.
The comments made by LA Reid seem extremely rude and he rubbed me the wrong way on day one, when he was angered that he had to coach the “Over 25′s“. What a horrible thing to say to already nervous contestants; if you remember he was blunt and informed the singer’s he was not happy he ended up with them. Well goodbye see ya later…we will not miss him at all.
So what will Simon do now? He had high hopes for the show and bragged about how well it would do early on. It has now only been two seasons and there’s already been changes to the judges and host. When he hired Khole Kardashian-Odomand Mario Lopezit seemed more than desperate. And it is clear…they are not a good fit. No need for two hosts and they step all over each other. One needs to go.
Well, my video message to Simon Cowell is meant to help him get back on track. There’s obviously still fans of the show (including me), even with the lackluster ratings. So hopefully he will take note of my suggestions, or he may be going home come 2014.
Check out my video and chime in…What do you think needs to get revamped on the show? I know you also have advice for Mr. Cowell.
Seriously Simon, take a look and heed my warning.
On another note; maybe they should allow fans to also vote off the judges. That could make it interesting and I certainly have some picks in mind. Can you say….Demi LovatoandBritney Spears!
GUESS I’M PSYCHIC…VIDEO PREDICTIONS WERE 100% RIGHT!
The X Factor was down to the final six contestants tonight. The cream of the crop minus one remained, but two finally found themselves out of the competition. It was down to Carly Rose Sonenclar, Steven Tate, Emblem 3, Fifth Harmony, Diamond White and CeCe Fry.
Before they got down to business, last year’s winner Melanie Amaro performed. She sounded great and the song was decent, but not sure it will be a number one hit. Side note…her weave was not up to par, she needs a new hair stylist. Sorry…I know that is being petty.
Now on to the first contestant leaving. It was a nail biter and I was holding on to my Christmas wish. Dear Santa please make CeCe go to the North Pole. Well, it was answered at last! The delusional singer was where she needed to be…on a plane back home. Can you believe she said she deserved to be in the finals? Give me a break! Guess there is no need to eat my remote control and break my TV now…whew!FINALLY!!!
The acts saved by the viewer’s were obvious, Carly Rose, Emblem 3 and Tate Stevens. It was then down to the bottom two singer’s fighting for their life in a sing-off. These acts were no surprise and they were in my predictions; Diamond White and Fifth Harmony.Guess I called it!
Simon hated to go first but it was not his choice. Fifth Harmony hit the stage and sounded like a wealth of talent…and yes LA they have amazing harmony. They sang their best and proved they deserve to be there. Then Diamond stepped out looking like a nervous teen, she sounded a bit shaky and this was not her best performance.
However, with it being up to the judges, it seemed pretty clear who they would pick. Along the way LA Reid and Demihad strong opinions on who they thought needed more work. But I was pleasantly surprised. Simon picked Diamond, Britney picked Fifth Harmony, LA picked Diamond and Demi was the nail in the coffin selecting Diamond to go home.
Unfortunately, it was Diamond White who headed home. But this was a good choice, especially based on tonight’s performance. She is a great singer but still needs to develop her craft. Fifth Harmony really is one of the best collaboration of girl groups around…they deserve to be in the finals.
How did they rank last night? Check out list below….Who will win? Carly Rose Sonenclar.
On another note; now that CeCe was voted off, can we vote off Demi Lovato and Britney Spears. I’m just saying! They suck as judges!
THE X FACTOR RANKINGS 12/6/12
#1 Tate Stevens (Great singer but America got it wrong)
#2 Carly Rose (No doubt! She should win it all)
#4 Fifth Harmony
On another note; Kesha also performed which was a treat…she really is a hit maker.
The X Factor is down to the final six this week. They were given two songs to perform; first theTop Six Unplugged, basicallyacoustic versions of hit songs and then a song from the Pepsi Challenge Viewer’s Choice.
First out was Demi’s downer CeCe Fry. Lost in her delusional world, she believed last week was her best performance. Well, as usual this week she sucked once again, her singing Lady Gaga’s hit song “Edge of Glory” became “Edge of Gory”. It literally made me sick. Sorry, but she needs to go home immediately. Why is she still here? But to be fair…this was more like her best performance, which still was not good enough.
Emblem 3 hit the stage next. Demi did not have their back as usual…but that comes from a chick who believes CeCe is a star. They stripped it down with popular Bruno Mars jam. However, they actually did not sound their best, but the screaming teens did not seem to notice.
On to my favorite singer. My girl Carly Rose Sonenclar busted out with the Justin Bieber hit “As Long As You Love Me”. And of usual, she sounded amazing! She is the best singer by far and deserves to go all the way. What a smart move to select this song…even though Britney may win by default not due to her brains. Carly is a star and will be mega hit maker down the road.
Fifth Harmony was on next and had a lot to prove. While they moved up the charts last week, they have not yet had a moment to truly shine. Unfortunately, they were missing a member during rehearsals, with Alli leaving to attend her grandfather’s funeral. Well, they may have been one short in practice, but it did not show and this was their best performance so far. LA Reid was wrong saying they don’t have harmony…this group has an abundance of it. Maybe his hearing aid is broken.
Diamond White was in the bottom two last week, which was totally wrong. But this week she actually did not redeem herself. Singing the James Brown classic “This Is A Man’s World“, did not work this time around. While she sang it earlier in the competition, the magic was gone. She may be in trouble again…but her second song was 100% better…sounded great.
Tate Stevens has stayed consistent. But the judges actually critiqued him properly tonight, saying his song did not work. The Bon Jovi hit “Livin on a Prayer” was not a good song choice for him and sometimes LA’s picks suck. It looks like he may have put another one of his contestants in jeopardy…hence Vino.
Did you really think I would continue with critiquing their second performances? No way…that you will have to watch on your own. But most went on to sound great and this will be a tough elimination. And of course the fans did not actually pick the songs…they were given songs to choose from which is a huge difference.
If I were to guess it will be Diamond and CeCe in the bottom tomorrow. But who knows…according to their chart America loves CeCe…UGHHHHH! PLEASE SANTA…MY WISH FOR CHRISTMAS IS THAT CECE GOES TO THE NORTH POLE!
Best performance of the night…once again Carly Rose.
On another note, Khole looked great tonight! Maybe she took my advice and fired her stylist. Definitely the best she has looked so far on the show.
AMERICAN IDOL presented the top 12 girls tonight and while I’m all for “Girl Power”, most of them were definitely beat out by the guys. While the talent is obviously amazing this year, that also adds to a higher level of expectations. The show started a bit flat but it took one singer to catch my attention, but not in a good way.
Tonight I was a little distracted working while trying catch the second round. But I actually stopped to get fully engaged when Haley Johnsenhit the stage. However, it was not for good reason; when she began to sing she completely massacred the hit song “Sweet Dreams”, originally performed by the Eurythmics. Unfortunately for Haley, she got it totally wrong, and it sounded awful.
The good news is, she was followed by the 16-year-old, 6 foot beauty,Shannon Magrane. Her confidence and perfection was heard as she belted out a song about candles. While it was not a familiar tune to me, it sure sounded incredible.
After she sang, luckily it seemed to bring the show to life. Jessica Sanchez then stepped out and gave the best overall performance of the night. Although her vocal cords were still sore, she overcame her illness and delivered. She received a well-deserved standing ovation from the judges after singing her heart out. Jessica is the one to watch, and should give the guys a run for their money.
Sklyar Laineand Elise Testonalso gave solid performances. But in the end, the guys seemed to slightly edge out the girls during the early stage of the competition. Let’s hope the girls step up their game and “rule it” during round two.
Who do you think is going home first? It’s too early for me to tell, but I am fairly confident Jessica Sanchez or Deandre Brakensick won’t be leaving anytime soon.
On another note, I’m really beginning to miss Simon Cowell. He kept it real, and it’s getting annoying hearing them praise pretty much everyone. If the judges want to prepare them for the “real world” of the music industry, they will need to offer better critiques. I’m just saying…
It’s a good thing there is no baseball tonight and The X-Factor is back! Tonight the contestants were lucky enough to travel to the judges lavish homes to begin their mentorship program. This must have added to their stress level, but had to be truly exciting.
But can we just stop for a moment to say WOW, were their homes spectacular or what? Viewing luxury homes will definitely inspire them to see what they can acheive if they win the competition. The best spot was for the girls who had the opportunity to visit France and have Simon mentor them.
They were surprised and pleased to hear guest judges would be on hand to help in the process. Rihanna headed to L.A. Reid’s home to help the guys, Pharrell helped Paula Abdul mentor the groups and the sexy Enrique Iglesias jumped on board with Nicole Scherzinger to work with the 30+ singers. Poor Simon, his guest judge Mariah Carey was a “no show” due to a flight delay, which was a disappointment for the girls. But Simon likes to be the center or attention, so he seemed fine sitting back watching them sing through his cool dark shades.
The ability to be intimately mentored by judges offers them a better chance of performing at a higher level right out the gate. It should make for an exciting show down the road. This is what sets X-Factor apart from American Idol and seems like a better way to help new singers break out into the music industry. If I could sing (and no I can’t), this would definitely be my pick for a competition to enter.
So on the negative points, Dexter singing “Crazy” was fitting for how he looked, it was an awful song choice for him. While it was good to see him get a second chance, this probably was not the show for him. The other disappointment, which was not a surprise, was Simone Battle. Although she is attractive her “fierceness” is not backed up with her singing abilities. It’s unfortunate someone better lost their spot to her, she needs to go home.
Many of the others were good, but nerves may have gotten the best of them. While it must be uncomfortable to sing in front of very few people, this was a huge opportunity and some may have blown it. There were no true stand-outs with the exception of Stacy Francis singing the Prince favorite “Purple Rain“, boy can she blow! It’s such a shame she was held back in her youth, where she would have had a better chance to succeed. She is someone to remember, when you are missing your opportunities. And Poor Phillip Lomax having to sing a Rihanna song in front of her…how scary. But he did a really good job and held his own.
The X-Factoris addictive, can’t wait for Sunday night but let’s hope there is NO baseball. We cannot take another cancellation of this amazing show.
And on a side note, Simon you could have called me to help…seriously, I’ve been asking. Next time, feel free to look me up!
Tonight the X-FACTOR had an opening shocker when a 14-year-old gave Simon Cowell a bit of lip. Brian Bradley jumped on Simon out of nowhere, leaving the judges with mouths wide open. Well, it was a part of his act and had the audience also stunned until he hit the beat. Pretty clever move, it definitely got their attention.
Turns out, it was all a part of his act and with a song like “Stop Lookin at My Mom”, it was fitting. The kid has attitude, stage presence and lyrics to back it up. Good for him for putting Simon in his place…or so it seemed.
Bradley was one of the best rappers in his age group to-date and I expect him to go far on the rap scene. However, I’m not yet sure if he can sing other than rap, so X-Factor may just have been a platform to get him in the door. Like he said “you gotta know people who know people to make it in the music industry.” Well, now he knows them!
SORRY JUSTIN…BUT I REALLY LIKE HER VERSION BETTER! VOTE IN COMMENTS SECTION…BIEBER OR DREW? WHO IS BETTER?
DREW – FOOTAGE BEFORE X-FACTOR
DREW RYNIEWICZ rocked the popular Justin Bieber hit “Baby” tonight on X-Factor. While at first it was disappointing to hear that was her song selection, after her first note she had me sold. It was one of the best remakes of the song, and there have been plenty.
If she continues to make songs “her own” and belts them out with the same passion as tonight, she is definitely a contender for the finals. This is some of the best talent of any singing competition shows, but with $5 million dollars on the line, it should be.
On a side note, looks like you can’t add Justin Bieber to your title on wordpress…interesting? Bieber is banned from Twitter and WordPress…poor kid!
X-FACTOR USAis only in its second week, however, the talent continues to impress the fans and judges. This week they showcased the talent in Chicago and then made their way to Seattle and they did not disappoint. Last week Chris Rene, rocked the stage and instantly became a Youtube sensation, surging to over 2.5 million views. Now it looks like another soon-to-be star will follow his lead.
While several contestants sang extremely well tonight, the stand-out singer was Josh Krajcik. When his mom paced backstage and was just about to explode with excitement, I questioned his talent. But the burrito slinger from Columbus, Ohio, bolted out the Etta James classic“At Last”,with one of the most soulful voices to-date. His singing even surprised Simon Cowell, who thought he’d seen it all. Josh’s interpretation of the song was one of the best I’ve heard and as we all know, everyone tries to sing it during competition shows. He is certain to go far on X-Factor and is 150% more talented than our earlier favorite and winner of American Idol, Taylor Hicks.
Another truly gifted singer was the 14-year-old student, Drew Ryniewicz. But when she first said that Justin Biebers’ “Baby” was her song choice, I cringed. However, as she blew it out the water, I actually have to agree with the judges, it sounded better than the original version. She can really sing!
If X-Factor continues to offer a variety of incredible talent and thankfully at all ages, it is sure to be a hit! Can’t wait to see who takes home the $5 million dollar prize. Who is your favorite so far?
