TOM JOYNER interviewed Mary Harvey today on his morning show. It appears Tom had a bit of remorse for allowing it to take place, because he asked her to make amends in private. It is surprising to me that he would invite her to his show, obviously knowing she was speaking out about Steve Harvey’s infidelity, to then ask her to bite her lip.
It was good to hear her side of the story because she hit on a lot of good points. Tom was clearly shaken when Mary said she had “no attorney” and countered his questions well. It was written all over his face. I question why he felt he is the “chosen one” to decide how she should proceed, by asking her to “come to a settlement and take it out of the public eye”.
When you listen to the interview on the link below, post your comments on your thoughts. I’m curious to see if you also believe he was shooting for the “big interview”, then back peddled. Did Steve Harvey reach him somehow and ask him to back off? It sure sounds like it to me, but that is just my opinion. Should we now call him Dr. Joyner?

Hey Britta,
I agree with you. That is what I said as I was listening to it. He sounded so timid and apprehensive having her on the show. I don’t think Steve would have had his wife on the air at all. This makes tom look questionable on his real motive to have her on. It was kinda low.

I agree with you Britta. It appeared to me that Tom was making sure he “handled” Mary (to the best of his ability), to frame the interview. However, even if he WAS into damage control on Steve’s behalf, Mary came across clear with the ring of truth in her words. It was that “ring” that caught Tommy short.
Only arrogance would trigger a lawsuit against someone in Mary’s situation when the only one who could prove Steve’s lawsuit is Oprah. Maybe him suing her along with the anguish of missing her son, was the “straw (s) that broke…” Mary’s back. Now, after all this time Steve has opened a can of worms and has these videos to deal with.
I am so disappointed with Tom’s reference to Obama. So very disappointed.

tom is not onboard with steve. it is very obvious when u listen to the two different shows being broadcasted. it was a very bold move on tom’s part to do such a thing, and he nor j.b. could pull it off without being sincere and true to their proscective proffessions. Need I say more!!!
