The Terminator was eliminated for good reason according to new reports. It was announced that the former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and film star admitted to having a “love child” that he fathered with a member of his household staff years ago.
This explains Maria Shriver’s quick exit out of the couple’s home and announcement of their separation last week. On May 9th they informed the press that they were splitting up after 25 years of marriage, but she move out in advance of their formal statement. Arnold apparently told her about his indiscretions and child earlier in the year. She was devastated by his confession after so many years of marriage.
It was alleged that Arnold had an affair with a former staffer who was supposedly married at the time. The woman had worked for the family for 20 years and retired in January, but during her employment she allegedly birthed his “love child”. When originally asked about the child, she commented it was her husbands, but Arnold disputed that statement.
Arnold went on to tell the Times & AP on Tuesday, “After leaving the governor’s office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago”. “I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family. There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry.”
He ended his statement asking the press to allow his family privacy during these difficult times, but that is highly unlikely. It is unfortunate Shriver must endure this humiliation in public, but as a power couple, it will be hard for the press to ignore this story.
It keeps amazing me how so many in the spotlight can continue to be unfaithful, as though they will not get caught. Tiger Woods, Jesse James and now Arnold Schwarzenegger? What goes through their minds, is the power so great they think they are invincible?
After 25 years of marriage, it makes me sad for Maria Shriver. Hoping she will push through the pain.
