(VIDEO) 2011: CASEY ANTHONY ATTORNEY JOSE BAEZ BEING INVESTIGATED AGAIN, IS THIS FAIR?

18 Aug

According to above video it’s not the first time.

The Casey Anthony saga continues, with the investigation of her criminal attorney Jose Baez.  After the judge found Anthony guilty, he ordered her to serve probation but stipulated that her time served while awaiting trial, would not count.  However, a clerk accidentally counted her time in jail on the paperwork, basically nullifying the probation.

Since Baez was aware of the mishap and chose not to inform the court, he is now being investigated by the State Bar of Florida. This has become a huge debate among attorneys, some feel although it seems unethical it was not his responsibility to point out the error.  Others believe that attorney’s are bound by ethics and Baez should have informed the judge of the error.

Baez does not seem too concerned about the potential legal issue.  Although he has a long history of disputes with the court system, he said it will be dismissed just like the many other cases brought against him in the past.  This statement seems a bit cocky seeing that the state of Florida denied him a license to practice law for nearly a decade because of a history of unpaid bills. And to everyone’s amazement upon his approval in 2005, he landed Casey Anthony as a client.

Many were outraged to hear of the error, but is Baez to blame?  Shouldn’t the prosecutors and judge take the brunt of responsibility for not catching the error.

In the end, Casey seems to keep getting lucky, with a weak case and this error she appears to be on a winning streak.  But karma will catch up to her at some point…some believe that’s what happened to O.J. Simpson.

What do you think?  Should Baez have come clean, or should his loyalty be with his client?

I agree completely with your post brittaj. Karma is a wicked reaper. “Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord”. I am a Christian, and I believe Casey and Baez, will reap what they sewed. I just hope, that we are all around to see it.

In another related vein, I still cannot understand why the jury failed to deliberate the remaining charges. In particular the one, I believe was referred to as charge three, in regard to child abuse/negligence, with the attendant elevated charge of “involving the death of a minor.” At the very least, Casey is guilty of child abuse/neglect. She either allowed her daughter to drown, (if you believe this fairytale), which is, in my opinion, premeditated murder, because one could ask,..where was Casey while the child roamed the house, unattended and unsupervised? She may have overdosed the child, (which is what I believe), but instead of seeking immediate medical help by dialing the local number for paramedics, she allowed her daughter to die. No matter how people feel about the scenario(s), she is, most definitely, guilty of child abuse/neglect, with the attendant charge of “in the death of a minor.”

Casey is, and was solely responsible for her daughter’s death. She refused to allow her parents to take custody of Caley, and refused to allow an adoption. Casey was not a minor when Caley was born, so Cindy had no say in the adoption. It was Casey’s choice to retain custody. Further, I do not believe that anybody helped her dispose of Caley’s body, or in the murder. I believe, Casey suffers from what some refer to as a sociopath. Today, our medical professionals refer to it as Anti-Social Personality Disorder. Even though the myriad of physicians, and mental health professionals found absolutely nothing wrong with her, here is a link to the National Institute of Health, outlining the symptoms of ASPD: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000921.htm

It is also important to note that as the parent/guardian or a minor child, Casey owed her daughter care, nurturing, and protection. She failed miserably. If not for Cindy and George, that poor little girl may have been living in the car, or with any man who would allow Casey to live with him. A child, under the law, is not culpable for it’s actions. Children, minors, are not able to understand the consequences of their actions. Therefore, the parent/guardian is responsible for the well-being of that minor child.

If the public believes the fairytale advanced by Baez, during his unfounded opening statement, that Caley drowned in the family swimming pool. The law states that Caley’s death, clearly indicates neglect/child abuse.

The jury failed to entertain any other charge, and in my opinion, should have been nullified. I believe that at that point, Judge Perry should have issued his verdict, which is permissible in a Court of Law.

There is no way that little girl should have been left unsupervised. Children (according to state statutes), are minors under the age of 18. Parents need to remember this, as well as the consequences of failure to perform their duties required under the law, at the very least.

Casey should be sitting in jail, pursuant to the third degree charge, for 25 years to life. She is a criminal, and the jury system failed, again. Judges need to be diligent, and forceful. Control their Courtrooms, and in instances such as these, where the jury failed to deliberate every charge given to them for deliberation, nullify the jury, and take over the verdict.

I am disgusted, and disheartened over this verdict. I feel that Florida is giving the perception of existing in another realm,…not the one that most of us live in, and pursuant to. The system, especially in Florida, needs major overhauling. The jury failed, and sadly, so did Judge Perry.

There was nothing wrong, or incorrect with the prosecutions case. Law Enforcement did it’s job in an exemplary manner. The fault lies with the jury, and Judge Perry, for not taking over when he should have nullified same. I thought Judge Perry did an excellent job, until the end.

Casey Anthony is a murderer, in my opinion. She killed an innocent child. Her child. Her statement to her inmate that, in regard to her dead child was “…at least she won’t have to suffer, and be unloved.” (paraphrasing prior phrase). Couple that with her statement to Lee, that she is a spiteful bitch. Spiteful, as defined, “showing malicious ill will and a desire to hurt; motivated by spite, vengeful.” It’s obvious to me that she resented, and hated her parents, and this was her choice of revenge. I think Casey was very threatened by the love, and gifts bestowed upon the child, by Casey’s parents, while she was left to work for her own support, wants and needs. She saw herself as Caley’s equal. One might say that Casey felt that Caley was her sister, rather than her daughter, and the sibling rivalry is so apparent.

She conspired, lied, cheated, stole, abuse drugs, partied like the world was coming to an end. Casey’s behavior was nothing less than promiscuous. Couple that with the behavior she exhibited after she knew that Caley was dead, was not normal by any stretch of the imagination. Nor is it defensible. Read the definition in the above link, and you will see the monster that Casey Anthony is. She is a murderer, who should be sequestered from descent, law abiding citizens, for life. Our children need, and deserve to be protected. Casey may have a pretty face, but inside, she is pure evil, self-centered, and vicious. If an animal behaved the way Casey did, they would be put down. Even they don’t kill their babies…only guinea pigs do that. They are akin to a rat, mouse. We exterminate them due to the spread of disease.

I fear that Casey is the disease, and I hope and pray that no other parent sees this as an excuse to copy her heinous behavior. In other countries, Casey would have had no trial, and been summarily executed. Sometimes, I wonder if we have come too far from what is right and just? We become to mired in inconsequential details, and fail to focus on the facts. Our educational system is failing our youth, which I saw directly reflected in the jury verdict, by failing to deliberate the remaining charges, against Casey Anthony.

Just because you are able to have children, does not make you a parent. If you chose to have the child, and you know you will not be a good, loving, nurturing parent. If you do not want the responsibility, do what Casey should have done,….put the child up for adoption. You have no right to give life, and take it away, just because it’s inconvenient. How sad,…poor Caley….
