The new teen singing sensation Mindless Behavior has arrived on the scene just in the nick of time. While the girls go crazy for Justin Bieber, in recent years, the boy groups fizzled so they filled the gap. Their fresh appeal and incredible talent is creating a buzz and teenage girls are going wild over their music.
The dynamic four is a group of 14-year-old teens on the road to mega stardom. They are so talented, that just two years ago, Johnny Lovine of Interscope Records, quickly signed them. He will now surely reap the rewards of their success. Mindless Behavior performs a fusion of hip hop, pop, and R&B which is the best of all music genres.
Prodigy, Roc Royal, Ray Ray and Princeton are the “New Edition” of this era. They are so good, Janet Jackson allowed them to open her show. Keep an eye out on them; they will be a platinum selling sensation in no time.
They performed at a skating rink in Detroit today, for a Radio One appearance, and hundreds of girls screamed so loud the city shook.
Popular tv show DANCING WITH THE STARS announced the new line-up for season 13 and many are disappointed. It seems as though the more interesting stars were not available so a back-up plan was put in place. Originally the proposed cast included Snooki and Queen Latifah, which now seems golden compared to the current competitors.
News outlets were heavily debating the choice of stars today and they did not seem pleased. While it’s always hard to know who will be the stand-out until the dancing begins, the stars need to at least have some appeal. In this case, none of them seem to have the “wow” factor; so I’m not sure who picked them and why they were selected.
There were so many other stars who would have been more exciting. Was Snooki too busy tanning? Did Beyoncé say no because she is having a baby? Was Charlie Sheen too busy “winning”? Does Cher have too many shows booked? Was Will Smith too busy squashing rumors of a divorce? Did Diana Ross say “No way!” Were all the other reality tv show stars on vacation? It seems as though someone better had to be available. Seriously, Chaz Bono? Nancy Grace? Really, are these the best names this money-making show had in their Rolodex?
It’s sad when the only one who really seems interesting enough to watch is a relatively unknown actor, Jr. Martinez. I had to google him to learn his background. But at least he has substance and is a war hero with a touching story. His serious burns caused by a tragic accident, just six weeks into his military career, is heartbreaking. But his zest for life is inspiring. So without even stepping a foot on the stage, he is already my favorite for the lovely “Mirror Ball” trophy.
The show typically has huge ratings. Let’s see if a weak cast can still keep them in the top ten. This will be a telling season; if it still rates high we will know American’s have too much time on their hands. Or there is really no competing shows worth watching in the same time slot.
Only time will tell, how this will end. But maybe we should not criticize until we see what they can do…they say, don’t judge a book by its cover.
