TROY DAVIS was executed last night after years of protest. A final attempt for an appeal was submitted but denied within hours of his execution. Davis was convicted back in 1989 of killing police officer, Mark MacPhail, in Savannah, Georgia.
Many supporter’s were enraged because no evidence was ever found to confirm his guilt. He was incarcerated after pleading “not guilty”, based only on eyewitness accounts even Since then, according to news reports, the majority of the witnesses have recanted most or all of their statements.
Do you believe this execution was fair? What do you think about the death penalty?
