It was announced today that Kim Kardashian has decided to call it quits after her speedy marriage to Kris Humphries. In just 72-days it looks like Kim found out quickly, he was not the man for her. She is expected to file for divorce, instead of requesting an annulment, which seems strange after such a short marriage. Easy come…easy go!
In watching the reality t.v. show, “Keeping Up With The Kardashian’s” it is easy to see why this didn’t last. Although, surprisingly enough her parents seemed to like Kris, it was obvious he was not yet ready for marriage. During their first vacation together, upon arrival, he threw her into the ocean like a rag doll. Her very expensive diamond earring was washed away in the ocean, and as he searched feverishly for it, he was laughing all the way. Although he was able to find it, this was definitely not a good start. In that same episode he also offended most family members, making me question her decision.
This break-up is certainly no surprise to many. It’s just unfortunate they wasted so much money on a lavish televised wedding. That money could have been used to feed thousands of starving children. There was a prenuptial agreement so no love lost there, but he actually still gets half of the 17 million dollars paid by E! for their “Fairy Tale Marriage”. This makes it highly likely he is not as “bummed out” as he says. With the NBA lock-out, that money will come in handy.
The only family member who truly saw the writing on the wall, was Khole. Too bad she did not use her strong vocal opinions to warn her sister. It was clear that this was an incredibly wrong move.
Several sources say the divorce was caused by his decision to “quit the show” and not move to Minnesota, but that is still to be confirmed.
Some tabloids have reported this was all a scam anyway, but that seems a bit over-the-top even for a Kardashian. What do you think? Scam or Real?
Let’s hope Kim can learn from her mistake and move slowly the next time she “falls in love” and takes the plunge! This has to be close to record time for a Kardashian collapsed marriage.
