CHECK OUT BOOT CAMP GROUP VIDEO’S – HERE
Simon Cowell and his team of judges will have a tough time getting down to 32 contestants this week. Tonight the boot camp portion of the competition began on the X-Factor and they did not disappoint.
Round one had the singers on their own in a final fight to stand out and make it to the next round. This was a tough one because the talent was fierce and everyone was desperate to move forward. It was most evident for 42-year-old mom, Stacy Francis, as she belted out a note which seemed to last for an hour. While she probably thought it would be impressive, it only angered the judges, making them give her a bit of a warning. Lucky for her they gave a second chance into the group round.
It was great to see many of the early favorites get through the first round, especially Melanie, Chris Rene, Drew, Brian Bradley, Jazzlyn, Tora and Josh. But they still have a way to go to make it into the top 32.
Round two split them into multiple groups who were then given random songs from rap to a Whitney Houston classic. They all pulled it off with the exception of the rap group who pretty much tanked. Even little rapper Brian Bradley forgot his lyrics and brought the team further down.
Overall, the groups did shine and pulled off some great performances, with very little time to rehearse. The surprise group had the most challenging song of them all, hitting the Whitney notes is nearly impossible, but they did an incredible job.
This is an extremely hard show to judge, glad it’s not on me to pick the best of the best…AMAZING talent. But who’s going home? My bets on Dexter and Brian Bradley for sure, can’t pick anyone else for certain just yet.
Why do I still have “Young Homie” in my head?
