The Bank of America 34th annual Chicago Marathon took place today and had a ground breaking moment. The winner for women’s time was Russian, Liliya Shobukhova. In her amazing accomplishment, she becomes the first runner to win a third straight Chicago Marathon title.
It looked like she was in a race on her own, blowing away the other runners and completing the 26.2-mile course, well ahead of the bunch. More than 45,000 runners competed in today’s race under sunny skies and warm temps.
Three is definitely a charm for Liliya…Great job!
