In a tragic turn of events, Virginia Tech was the target of a gunman again…just four years after the deadliest campus shooting in U.S. history. Back in 2007, during a similar situation, 33 people lost their lives and today a police officer and the alleged shooter died.
The students on this campus are certainly traumatized. It’s hard enough for this type of senseless shooting to happen once in a decade…but twice may be too much to handle. While we know this can happen anywhere, and similar scenes have occurred at other colleges is this somehow different?
It makes me wonder…who would send their precious child to a school with this much violence? How do you overcome this tragedy happening twice in such a short span of time. Would you send your kids there now? Weigh in below, curious to hear your thoughts…not sure I would feel comfortable.
Sad to hear about any loss of life, especially a police officer who was trying to protect. What was this shooter’s motive?
