The X Factor is down to the wire. Next week we will witness one of these contestants becoming an instant millionaire. It basically is like winning the lottery! This will be exciting to watch and we know any of the top three are deserving of this huge prize.
It opened with the final four singing their last song together as semi-finalists. Florence and The Machine then performed and her voice was amazing as usual. Nicole Scherzinger later sang to win her fans back after last weeks backlash. It was slightly disappointing because the song sucked and did not showcase her incredible voice. Luckily she wasn’t getting judged tonight, sorry but she would have been cut.
On to the results…the first name announced and heading to the finals was no surprise. Chris Rene sailed through and his excitement was clear, his smile was as big as the ocean. The second name called was Melanie Amaro, which was great to hear, knowing she almost did not make the show (thanks to Simon). It was then down to Josh Krajcik and Marcus Canty. I can only imagine Josh thinking “Thank goodness Chris Rene is not standing next to me!”
Although they tried to make the final name read “dramatic”, it was obvious who would go home once those two were left on stage. How could the contestant with the most votes in my Poll go home? No way was Josh ever on the bubble, which is why they informed us several times; “It is in no particular order”.
In the end, once again my guess was right…Marcus Canty was sent packing. He had a long run and should be proud he made it that far. It was great to see him leave gracefully and realize, unlike Rachel Crow, that his journey has only just begun. His positive attitude will open a lot of doors for him and offer incredible opportunities in the music industry.
The top three remaining contestants are all outstanding performers and my picks, but it is hard to call who will win. However, I still have all bets on Josh Krajcik with Chris Rene as a runner-up. Melanie is the best technical singer and comes in second on my Poll, but Chris seems to have a large fan base who may pull him ahead.
One things for sure, they better bring their “A Game” next week!
