CHICAGO: Seven people were shot at a Church’s Chicken restaurant in Englewood on Tuesday. Unfortunately, two died at the scene and four are in critical condition. This is tragic news for their families, because it comes just days before the New Year.
Several shaken diners witnessed a man arguing in front of the fast food restaurant. He then ran inside and began shooting wildly, hitting two teens, two men in their 50’s and killing two men in their 20’s. An additional victim was also shot, but their condition is unknown.
The heightened violence in Chicago is leaving area residents stunned and feeling helpless. The police have no suspects in custody, but believe it may be gang related. This is frightening to hear…now you can’t feel safe while buying food in a restaurant?
When will the violence end? Let’s hope they find the shooter…justice needs to be served. Chicago is a great city we want it back. What do you think authorities need to do to stop the violence? Post your thoughts.
