2/5/12: SUPER BOWL XLVI; MADONNA HALFTIME SHOW REVIEWS; FEATURES LMAFO, NICKI MINAJ & CEE LO GREEN

05 Feb

The Super Bowl XLVI halftime show was a spectacular event as usual.  When they first announced Madonna would be the performer, many balked at the thought.  How could they have selected a 53-year-old artist to rock the stage?  Well, while she may find herself icing her knees tomorrow, she hung in there like a twenty year old.

Madonna started the set with her iconic song Vogue, dressed in a roman designer outfit with back-up dancers to match.  She looked good but a bit nervous, which she admitted during an earlier interview.  But the funny thing is, her music still sounded fresh and she looked current.  It helped that she entertwined her hit songs with some of today’s top recording artists including; Nicki Minaj, LMAFO and Cee Lo Green. What a good way to bring her classic songs to the next generation.

While she had a near fall mid-way through and some of her flips seemed shakey, overall it was a solid performance.  She may be a mom and likely was outside her comfort zone, but she showed she’s still got it.  Before hater’s begin to judge, let’s see if they could do all that she can in her 50’s.

The Giants vs. The New England Patriots probably was the highlight for many sports fans, but Madonna did it for me.   Good job Madonna…now go rest those bones!  They will definitely hurt come tomorrow morning, but luckily you have enough wealth to pay for a message.

Update:  NY GIANTS GO ON TO WIN THE SUPER BOWL!  AND THEY WROTE THEM OFF…JUST GOES TO SHOW NEVER GIVE UP BECAUSE YOU NEVER KNOW…
