2012: 99-YEAR-OLD ROMEOVILLE WOMAN ROBBED DURING HOME INVASION

12 Apr

It was reported that a 99-year-old woman was robbed during a home invasion this week. Thieves posed as village worker’s when they busted into the home, located in Romeoville, IL.

When her 62-year-old son answered the door and told them they did not need their water pressure checked, they pushed past him and knocked him down.  He and his mother were duct taped to chairs and told to keep their mouths shut.  They hit the elderly woman in the face and then stole money from the home before leaving.

This is a disgrace…Who hits a senior citizen and knocks them down?  What if it was their grandmother…they would be furious.  The three presumed hispanic men, reportedly escaped in a black truck…let’s hope their friends and family turn them in.

What has this world come to?  What happened to respecting your elder…this generation has a lot to learn.  SERIOUSLY, is money worth that much to these animals?  This is tragic.

Ann Budzinsky is a tough senior, she refused medical attention and is said to be doing well.

I agree with your comment… “This is a disgrace…Who hits a senior citizen and knocks them down? What if it was their grandmother…they would be furious.” Ann is my great aunt and my family and I are so upset. Thankfully, her and my cousin are okay. I am a military spouse living overseas and it just broke my heart to watch the news clips of her explaining what happened. She’s so sweet. I don’t know how someone can attack anyone let alone a 99 year old lady.

      De,
I am happy to hear she is fine and can’t imagine how it would feel if someone did this to my grandmother. It is very sad to hear of this type of behavior. Thanks for serving our country…sorry you had to experience this heartbreak.
