2012: MICHAEL JORDAN HEART ATTACK TODAY; TWEET REAL OR FAKE?

21 Jul

Michael Jordan was rushed to the hospital in critical condition today, after suffering from a heart attack in his North Carolina home.  Is this real or fake?  Well, a tweet was sent out earlier possibly confirming this story.   But as you search further on the internet it appears this may just be a cruel joke.

It seems that anyone can tweet something or post a blog these days…and we all fall for it.  There is no way to stop a false rumor or misinformation spreading around the world.  Imagine what someone could do with a more serious lie…this is a frightening thought.

If NBA legend Michael Jordan is reading this blog…can you please let us know you’re ok.  It is the only real proof we have, so feel free to post a comment.  Chicago still misses you and cherishes the memories you left behind as a Chicago Bull.

We all hope MJ is safe and on the golf course chilling right about now.  And if CNN is not reporting this story…I just don’t believe it.  People may want to check their facts before tweeting…:).

ACTUAL TWEET

@LibbyJHarvey, who seemed to start the rumor thinking it was true tweeted:

“NBA legend Michael Jordan has suffered a Heart Attack at his North Carolina home. He is in critical condition.”

The heart muscle requires a constant supply of oxygen-rich blood to nourish it. The coronary arteries provide the heart with this critical blood supply. If you have coronary artery disease, those arteries become narrow and blood cannot flow as well as they should. Fatty matter, calcium, proteins, and inflammatory cells build up within the arteries to form plaques of different sizes. The plaque deposits are hard on the outside and soft and mushy on the inside.,
