THE X FACTOR CUT OFF LAST WEEK; REPEAT AIRS ON MONDAY 10/23/12; TOP 16 SELECTED

23 Oct

The X Factor was abruptly cut short last week due to a rain delay of a ball game.  Many fans were angered (including me), since it was down to the wire of who would be a part of the live show.  Literally right in the middle of them picking their top contenders, a teaser came on before the commercial break, then the show ended and went straight into a sitcom.

Well, tonight they repeated last weeks show, since fans clearly were not happy.  The final group of talented singers were selected by the judges, including most of my favorites.  They are all so good, so it was a very tight race.

This week they also announced the addition of co-hosts Khole Kardashian and Mario Lopez.  This was great news, seeing that the judges panel is lacking when it comes to intelligent feedback.  They should add the energy and quick wit currently missing and Mario is definitely easy on the eyes.

It already was a very expensive cast and now with two hosts it is clear Simon is in it to win it.  He obviously wants to take advantage of the issues American Idol is having with their new judges, Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey.  Is the door open for a replacement singing competition show?

It was good that they re-broadcast the show, but they clearly need to speak with programming about this annoying issue.  This is certainly not the first time they have cut off the show….are they trying to sabotage Simon Cowell?  Or is it karma?  He can be rude at times so maybe the TV God does not approve.

I boycotted Xfactor tonight (not that I’m a Nielsen “family”), regarding FOX’s insane decision last week to play a portion of Xfactor. From what a friend told me, tonight’s xfactor was not a repeat of what aired, but I would rather take your word for it. Non-the-less TheVoice was incredible tonight, and FOX was smart enough to decide NOT to directly go up against it. BUT I WILL watch next week to see/hear the story of David Curey being reunited with his Mother (thank you brittaj for letting us know FIRST).

Tom, it did look a bit different but the first portion still repeated the selection of contestants from last week.
