Gen. David Petraeus is not the first nor last man to tarnish his respectable career over a woman. The recent announcement that the Gen. cheated on his wife of 38 years, with his biographer Paula Broadwell is no real shock. While she pushed his book…she was allegedly smooshing the General. And the funny thing is that the story came out on her Birthday…I’m sure that was not her Birthday wish.
It seems men of power are no different from many others…they just cannot seem to keep their love thing in their pants. Is a woman so desirable she is worth risking it all? This must be the case….look at former President Bill Clinton. He had the top job and put it all on the line for a…you know what.
While cheating has been a longstanding issue for many men in powerful roles, you would think they would learn from one another. Why send thousands of emails which confirm your infidelity? Well, that is exactly what got the well-respected General and now former CIA Director caught. His ex-mistress (who is married with two kids) sent threatening emails to his family friend which caused her to get the CIA involved. This lead to an investigation which then revealed the web of deception.
We all know men will likely continue to cheat and lose a job over a woman. They just need to read the guide…”How To Cheat Without Getting Caught“. Maybe men and women are just not meant to spend decades together on lockdown? Not sure, but hearing of these careless men getting caught is getting very old.
If you are not happy get out…because you will eventually get caught. This is a known fact, especially if you’re a man. When is the last time you heard of a powerful woman cheating…rarely, because they usually are smarter and less reckless. Trust me women cheat too…they are just a bit smarter about it.
Gen. Petraeus, who is now 60, had a distinguished 37-year career in the military before joining the CIA. Now his wife Holly is pissed, he had to resign from the CIA, and the praise he received for his service will be overshadowed by an affair. Tragic.
