Most computer users have some type of antivirus software. Which is why the news released today was shocking. Reports that the founder of McAfee Antivirus software, John McAfee, is wanted by the Belize police in connection with the murder of his neighbor, has many stunned.
Multiple news sources announced that McAfee is a suspect in the murder of American builder Gregory Faull. According to news outlets, Faull was shot Saturday night at his home in San Pedro Town on the island of Ambergris Caye. It is believed that McAfee got into a heated argument with his neighbor Gregory Faull, when he shot him dead.
This shooting may have stemmed from accounts that just last week, Faull filed a formal complaint against McAfee in the local mayor’s office. He complained that the software multi-millionaire continued to fire off guns and exhibited “roughish behavior.”
While it is still under investigation, during an interview police authorities told reporters, “We are looking for him in connection with the murder. No one has been charged with murder yet”. McAfee is said to be on the run and police are searching for him in Belize.
If this story is true…makes us wonder why someone with so much money would risk life in prison for a senseless shooting. Oh that’s right…having that much money makes many people very eccentric and reckless. What a complete waste…how will that affect my antivirus? It won’t because it sold to Intel back in 2010 for $7.68 billion!
