Have you checked prices at the gas pump recently? Well, I was pleasantly surprised to see the price drop 50 cents over the past two months. It is almost unheard of for anything to cost less in this economy, but the average price is now only $3.35 per gallon.
Many around the country have been happy to see them plunge, but are wondering why? It is caused by several things, one being solar wind and new technology; allowing more oil be produced in the U.S. Another huge change is a recent report by the International Energy Agency, suggesting the U.S will become energy independent by 2030. It also helped that the refinery problems were finally fixed and demand was lower.
According to some analyst the price could drop further before the new year. They are predicting the average to drop to $3.20 – $3.40 per gallon before the end of 2012. This would be amazing news, because eventually we could see a drop in food prices and other staples.
The added benefit to the “Gas Crash” (as many are calling it) is it will create over 1 million jobs in the coming years. It has already created about 350,000 jobs in the solar wind and oil industry.
Overall this is great news…just hoping it did not come right as the WORLD ends on December 21, 2012. Just our luck!
