The X Factor finals aired tonight and they can only hope that millions tuned in to see who would win. It was down to soulful singer Carly Rose Sonenclar, instant mega-group Fifth Harmony and country singer Tate Stevens.

They opened the show as many have this week, with at tribute to Sandy Hook Elementary School victims.  It was a great rendition of Michael Jackson’s hit song “You Are Not Alone” with the full cast of contestants.  The back-drop of the victims names, with heartfelt vocals, was a special way to honor the 26 innocent victims who lost their lives.  It seemed especially touching for Vino Alan, who was extremely passionate during his small part.

First to hit the stage was my favorite singer, Carly Rose Sonenclar.  Singing a repeat of “Feel Good”, she received huge praise from the judges.  I guess you can take the risk of singing it again, if you nail it. Carly is definitely an “old soul”, because she has vocal ability far beyond a 13-year-old.

Tate Stevens was next up and continued to stay consistent.  Right now it’s probably his to lose, since the country fans are solid and extremely loyal.  He also has a very pure demeanor and his incredible voice adds to his appeal.  Although he also sang a repeat…at least he sounded great.  It actually sounded better than the first time.

Surprise finalist Fifth Harmony were put in a great position being third.  Their mantra “anything could happen”...seems to be working in their favor.  They may be underdogs, but never really have been given proper credit and could potentially pull ahead.  Once again, their harmony was spot on and singing “Anything Could Happen” was my absolute favorite performance from them throughout the show.  When I push rewind multiple times…it’s a hit!  Could not get this song out of my head, this time nor the last.

The contestants went on to perform new songs with top artists and all rocked the house. Carly and LeAnn Rimes (was she drunk?). Tate and Little Big Town.  Fifth Harmony and  Demi Lavato.  It will be a tough night for viewer’s because they are all equally talented.  Great duo’s…great performances.  Demi just won me back as a fan of her music…but she’s still a better singer than judge.  And Carly singing Hallelujah was my favorite performance of the night. Finally…chills. Second favorite…Fifth Harmony “Let It Be”…chills again.

To switch gears…it’s still shocking to me that The X Factor has such low ratings.  Incredible talent..check.  Amazing stage sets…check.  Stellar song choices…check. Oh wait…HORRIBLE judges…uncheck.  Too many hosts…uncheck. Too many changes…uncheck.

Maybe Simon should have let Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger stick around at least one more season before changing it up… they would have been loyal for sure.  I will keep posting my video tips above until SIMON COWELL listens to his fans.  Come on hit play already!  Love the show and want it to succeed!

Who will win The X Factor?  It will very likely come down to Carly and Tate.  I’m hopeful Carly will win the $5 million dollar prize, but would not be surprised if Tate runs away with it.  Love Fifth Harmony, but not sure they will have the fan votes, however, they will have an incredible  music career.

Any bad performances tonight?  Absolutely not!

On another note…Did Britney send Carly to hat school?  Was Khloe playing school girl dress-up?  Sorry, she looked ridiculous.  Maybe she did not fire her stylist after all.  And my mom was pissed they repeated songs…but they probably had to stick with what got them here in the first place. Playing it safe…sometimes works.

I like them all, but I want Fifth Harmony to win the 5 million bucks. As of Carly, she can sing but she was not better than Diamond White. It seems like Brittney went for Carly because of her sad story which most people do have. That’s not fair to the others contestants, therefore the contestants for next season should only say where they are from and what they have been doing before they came to auditions. Finally, Tate has a good voice but I’m not into country music that much. It was a good show after all.

I love 5th Harmony, but to be honest their “Let It Be” could not be compared to Terry McDermot’s rendtion on The Voice earlier this week. I am a huge Beatles fan, and never thought I’d say someone did one of their songs better than they did and Terry DID… but he lost and The Voice is over (to double the ratings that XFactor gets). None the Less I do LOVE Xfactor, I just love music, and tonight’s was their best episode. I think Carly won it (though your Poll shows othewise). I like Tate, I don’t LOVE country music (though it is America’s only contribution to the music world), but can enjoy it, and I can see how he COULD win, he is good. I just missed some good ROck ‘n Roll tonight, but the “6th Harmony” came close.

Sometimes the under dog wins and it could happen. After all look what happen to Emblem 3. Talk about an upset. I can remember when Jordan Sparks was a bit of an under dog on American Idol. Look what happened. She won. Personally I hope 5th Harmony does win. They entertain me where as Carley and Tate does not. They are good but I just do not see personality in their singing. That is just my opinion.

Carly is young and needs to grow a bit. Tate is older and should have started back some years. Now 5th Harmony is a great young coming up group who deserves the win. They have been trying harder everyweek. They deserve top gun!

Britta, by the way I love your blog. I have saved it in my favorites. Tonight is the night and I am nervous. Regardless of what happens I think Fifth Harmony, Carley and Tate will have good careers and get some kind of record deals. (For the ones who do not make it on the 5 Million prize that is)
