[RAW VIDEO] SAN FRANCISCO 777 BOEING PLANE CRASH 2013; TRAGEDY LEAVES 3 DEAD DOZENS INJURED; WHY I HATE FLYING!

07 Jul

WARNING….ABOVE VIDEO IS RAW & DISTURBING.

Being involved in a plane crash is the top reason for my fear of flying.  It gives me major anxiety when stepping onto a plane, along with sweaty palms and a nervous stomach.  So hearing about this week’s Asiana Airlines plane crash gave me chills.

The above video footage is raw and disturbing.  It was taken just after 777 Boeing plane, arriving from South Korea to San Francisco International Airport, crash landed as it nipped the runway.  Some reports say 3 are confirmed dead and dozens were injured. Over 300 passengers were aboard and must be in complete shock at the moment.

The devastating photo’s of the crash site, makes it a miracle that so many escaped with their lives.  Although it was the top story of the weekend, one positive is that plane crashes actually do not happen often, considering how many jets take off each day.  But that still does not give me comfort in flying, nor the hundreds on board.

R.I.P. to the two 16-year-old girls who lost their lives, along with any other casualties yet to be identified.  Also condolences to families of the victims and the injured…TRAGIC.

What can one say? It IS amazing there weren’t more deaths, but many are still in hospitals. While as terrible as this is, the worst crash in aviation history took place at Chicago’s O’Hare in 1979. A DC-10 crashed just after take off killing ALL (about 300) people onboard. I have no fear of flying, I even have a private pilot’s license, but I totally understand the fear you (and many other people) have. Honestly it doesn’t seem natural to be “flying” in an aluminum tube thousands of feet above the ground. But then 1000 people have been shot to death in Chicago in the first 6 months of 2013, and many thousands of people die in auto crashes each year. It will be interesting, as time unfolds, to find out what the cause of this tragedy actually was. My heart and prayers go out to those involved, and to their families and friends.

Tom it is amazing more did not die. Although the amount of crashes are low compared to the number of planes up there, it is something about being up that high in the sky. Also having no control…it freaks me out! Wow…you have a pilots license? Kudos to you…:)
