The heart-throb, Cory Monteith, who played the star character on the popular FOX show ‘Glee’ (aka Finn Hudson), was found dead in his hotel room in Vancouver, Canada, on Saturday.  Even more shocking than his sudden death, is that he was only 31-years-old.  Police have not yet determined cause of death.

Twitter has been on fire today, with news of his death nearly overshadowing the DISAPPOINTING George Zimmerman NOT GUILTY verdict.  Fans around the globe are saddened and stunned at the sudden loss of the Canadian lead star.  Monteith was credited in making Glee a huge success.

His admission to battling sobriety since the age of 13, is no secret.  He recently checked himself into drug rehabilitation facility so many thought he was on the right track.  Not sure what killed him, but police authorities have ruled out homicide.

Will Glee be the same without Corey?  Please chime in…this is TRAGIC.

As a very devoted #Gleek, having never missed and episode of Glee, and own every CD and DVD from the show, I am devastated. I awoke this morning to the news (bad way to start the day), and immediately had tears in my eyes. No TV/Movie personality’s death has ever made me feel so bad. It’s not what his loss will mean to the show, but the reports of what a nice guy he was (you could even see that in interviews with him), and stayed that way through a rapid rise to “stardom.” He seemed like the kind of guy you’d like to call your buddy. If you didn’t see the episode this won’t mean anything to you, but hopefully he is sharing a “Cheesus” sandwich with Jesus. R.I.P. Cory!
