The trial of Dr. Conrad Murray vs. Michael Jackson is set to begin Tuesday 9/27/11. Dr. Murray was accused of causing Jackson’s death on June 25, 2009, but has pleaded “not guilty” of the lessor charge of involuntary manslaughter.
Viewers worldwide will be glued to the to the trial, in hopes that the beloved Michael Jackson is well represented. The Jackson family will also certainly be watching to see how well the prosecution does, in hopes of justice for MJ.
While Dr. Murray made some critical errors, stories of his need for cash and the $100K Jackson was paying him are resurfacing. Was Dr. Murray’s desperation the cause of his greed and reckless behavior? Should he be held responsible for Jackson’s death? Well, only the jury will have the power to answer those questions. It will be interesting to see how the jury responds to the information supplied by the prosecution.
We can bet this will be the O.J. Simpson trial of the decade. And just as in the case of OJ, whether they find Murray innocent or guilty, it really won’t matter. Because he will surely live the rest of his life in a prison within himself, having little to no support by most.
Will the jury let MJ’s pop status sway their decision? Do you believe Dr. Murray should be convicted of this crime? One things for sure, as a doctor, he should have at least known how to perform CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation).
