GUILTY VERDICT READ
On Monday 11/7/11, Dr. Conrad Murray, was found guilty of one count of involuntary manslaughter, in the death of Michael Jackson. The jury took about 10-hours to decide the fate of MJ’s personal physician, after spending 23-days listening to witness accounts and medical experts.
Many MJ fans chanted outside the courthouse “Dr. Murray Guilty!”, as the Jackson family headed into the courtroom to hear the verdict. Dr. Murray will obviously lose his license to practice medicine, now that he is a convicted felon, and could spend up to four years in prison.
The jury was shielded from camera view, to protect their identity, during the reading of the verdict. Jury number three read the verdict; Dr. Murray looked stone-faced and dazed as she said “Guilty of Manslaughter” and gasped were heard from behind.
Judge Pastor instructed the jury of the rules now that the verdict has been reached. Destroy notes, they can now speak about the case but must wait 90-days to secure financial payment, profiting from the trial. He went on to thank them profusely and praised them for their time and efforts.
Dr. Murray was handcuffed and immediately taken into custody with no bail. This should be a good lesson for others who chose greed over ethics.
