PRESIDENT OBAMA toured areas affected by hurricane Irene last week. The cost of damage is expected to reach a staggering $6 billion dollars; suggesting it will be one of the most expensive storms in history. Media outlets reported 43 residents lost their lives during this massive storm. However, it could have been worse had they not been warned to evacuate and it’s good to hear many took the warning seriously.
It is incredibly sad to see the devastation and loss caused by this storm. In the middle of an already weak economy, how much more can we take?
