AMERICAN IDOL lucky seven, had one unlucky contestant tonight. The stiff competition has the Idols fighting for their life and some struggling to hang on. But the most amazing thing is that Casey Abrams has found a way to stick it out after the earlier save by the judges.
One of my early favorites, Jacob Lusk, found himself in the bottom three, although his voice is one of the strongest of the guys. The other two very talented singers in the bottom, Haley Reinhart and Stefano Langone, were not there because of last nights performance, it’s just that they are all so darn good.
In the end it was unfortunate we had to see such a great performer leave tonight, as Stefano was voted off and sent packing. It was great to see him make it this far, since selected as a ‘Wildcard’. His future is still certain to shine as the offers flood in.
In my opinion, the loss of Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell could not have come at a better time. The contestants supersede all other shows, which takes the focus off the fact the original judges were replaced.
It is going to be a tough season to call, but I am sticking to my original Idol prediction, James Durbin, is my pick to go all the way. Let’s see if I’m right. Who’s your favorite?
