WHY PATTI PIES WENT VIRAL…FINALLY POSITIVE NEWS!

Published 11/18/15

pieMany are wondering why Patti Labelles’ now famous Sweet Potato pies have gone viral.  Well, let’s face it…this is definitely timing.

In a world so full of destruction and violence; a small break from reality is exactly what we all needed.  Hence, the focus around something so simple as a pie.

The viral video posted by James Wright received millions of views within days.  If you haven’t viewed it take a look here and get your laugh on!  He is said to be a part of the reason why so many Walmart stores sold out of the pies within hours.

So for those who believe it’s insane that people are focusing on something as trivial as a pie…it comes down to happiness.  We as humans are naturally designed to desire positivity in our lives…so this fills the void.

And for the unlucky ones who were unable to get a bite into the pie, I can attest…it’s really tasty!  I was able to steal a crumb recently and thoroughly enjoyed it!

As for Ms. Patti Labelle…we wish you continued success and thank you for providing a tiny moment of joy in our lives.  Even if it comes from a pie:).

(VIDEO) 12/18/12: WALMART & DICK’S SPORTING GOODS PULLING SELECT GUNS FROM SHELVES; PIERS MORGAN DEBATE

WATCH PIERS MORGAN DEBATE GUN CONTROL IN ABOVE VIDEO…SHOCKING!

Wal-Mart and Dick’s Sporting Goods stepped up to the plate today.  They announced that due to the recent Newtown shooting, they are pulling select guns from their shelves and website. This may just be the first step in taking gun control seriously…but is it enough?

While many gun rights activists are angered that the recent Newtown shooting has challenged their right to bear arms…how many more children must die to get inside their hearts?  There is still no explanation which sits well in my mind, as to why anyone would need an assault rife.  Do you shoot deer with that type of gun?

Things have changed significantly in our society since the 2nd amendment was adopted back in 1791.

  • We don’t need to hunt for food anymore…we have groceries stores.
  • We don’t need to put guns in our farmhouses...we have 911.
  • We don’t need to put guns in our pick-up trucks...we have police stations.
  • We don’t need to put guns in our holster’s…this is no longer the wild-wild west.
  • We don’t need assault rifles...Al Capone is dead.

Anyone who believes their right to have guns is more important than the life of a precious child, is heartless. The fact that many American’s are so passionate about having a powerful gun in their possession out way’s human life….is disheartening.

HOW MANY CHILDREN MUST DIE BEFORE GUN LAWS ARE TAKEN SERIOUSLY?  The sad fact is that a high percentage of deaths happen with the owner’s own weapon.   It was once again proven in the Sandy Hook School shooting…the mom had 3 guns and her son used them to kill her and 26 innocent victims.  And she was a legal registered gun holder…sick!

What is your position on gun control?  Should they be banned?  Stricter restrictions?  Removed from ALL shelves?  WATCH VIDEO BELOW…THEN POST YOUR COMMENTS.

2011 FORTUNE 500; WALMART TOPS LIST BUT THREE OF FIVE ARE OIL COMPANIES

The 2011 Fortune 500 list of top companies in American was just released, and Walmart tops the list with a whopping $421 Billion in revenue.  But it is no surprise that three of the top five are oil companies.  With the continued rise in gas prices, they make you believe  they are hurting for business, but that is not the case.  We continue to pay anywhere from $4 – $6 per gallon and they continue to get richer!

It is disheartening to see that we have not received any help with the high cost of gas.  During these hard economic times, the high price of gas drives everything up.  In the case of a minimum wage worker, how can they even afford to go to work when the cost of a couple of gallons of gas is more than they make in an hour.  The cost to travel, via car or public transportation cuts into their earnings, which really hurts, especially for those with families.

The cost of food and other products have already seen huge increases.  I went to buy my hair gel yesterday, and it was up over $1.00!  If the oil companies can top the list and no one steps in, who will stop them?

If you really want to help the cause, this may be the time to begin protests and letters to stop them.  Otherwise, before we know it, we could begin paying $10 per gallon!

FORTUNE 500 TOP FIVE COMPANIES

#1 – WALMART

#2 – EXXON MOBIL (Oil)

#3 – CHEVRON (Oil)

#4 – CONOCO PHILLIPS (Oil)

#5 – FANNIE MAE

Now what is wrong with that picture?

Searching for that perfect home in Chicago, begin looking at incredible homes here.  Please help, so I can afford the price of gas!
