President Obama posted a copy of his “long form” birth certificate on the White House website today. I’m sure he thought “In your face Donald Trump”, when doing so. Recent rumblings questioning his true birth home, certainly triggered the release of his birth certificate for the public to see.
The birth certificate confirms his birth place is the state of Hawaii. Dan Pfeiffer, the White House communications director, wrote on the website, “The President believed the distraction over his birth certificate wasn’t good for the country.” He went on to say, “It may have been good politics and good TV, but it was bad for the American people and distracting from the many challenges we face as a country.”
Well, I could not agree more. Why would this even be up for question this late in the game. President Obama has been in office for how long? Seriously, Mr. Trump you can now go back to his firings on ‘The Celebrity Apprentice’ and finally find more legitimate topics to discuss (or not).
President Obama gave a live press conference regarding the subject, at 8:45 a.m. today. He began his news conference saying, he has more important things to focus on, like jobs, the war, and the economy. He concluded saying, “We do not have time for this silliness, we have bigger stuff to do”. And that is a fact!
