It’s no surprise that over 48 million people have viewed the above video “Same Love“; which makes it a viral sensation.  The fact that a straight man sings the song adds to the mystic, but the lyrics will also win your heart.

If you are one to judge…it really is a song written especially for you.  While the video was posted in October of 2012, the recent add to radio playlists is creating new interest and views have rapidly increased during the past week.

The added bonus, is that it is beautifully sang by Macklemore, Ryan Lewis and Mary Lambert.  One listen and you know it’s a hit and if you can put your hate in a bottle for a moment…it just may change your views.

Same Love is definitely one of the best songs of decade and a big kudos to a straight guy brave enough to share this message.

If you are a parent who has rejected their child, a hater who has teased someone for their preference, a racist who lives in a bottle, a self-proclaimed religious person with strict views, or just someone on the fence….take note of the lyrics.  You may not agree with their choices…but you certainly cannot deny this song has factual meaning.

Love the message and the fact that someone took the time to share this with the world.  Guess I am slow…just heard it on the radio yesterday, but obviously millions knew about it for a long time.

(VIDEO) DRUMMER BOY BEATS A WASHING MACHINE AT ONLY 10YRS OLD…AMAZING!

Apparently this 10-year-old boy did not get his Christmas wish.  However, his parents can save their cash because he obviously does not need a drum set.  If only other kids could find appliances around the house to make this type of music.

Check out the above video and be AMAZED!  He rocks a beat better than any drummer out there…and it only gets better at the end. It’s no surprise nearly 1 million have viewed his Youtube video. WOW!

Wonder if he knows it also washes clothes?  He must be really bored…

 

2012: INDIANAPOLIS SECRET SANTA PAYS IT FORWARD WITH $20 BILL TO STRANGER’S

Indianapolis has something to cheer about this year.  Secret Santa apparently hit the streets offering a nice gesture to area residents.  In the spirit of paying it forward, Santa passed out envelopes filled with a $20 bill and note card.

The card had a special message to all lucky enough to receive the generous gesture.  It read; “If this money will help you, feel free to use it.  If not, pass it on.  Merry Christmas”.

It seems someone has the right idea about the spirit of Christmas and knows when you “pay it forward“, you receive the joy of giving.  I wonder how many actually gave it away to someone else?

Funny, I saw this on the news yesterday but cannot find the story on the internet.   It appears good stories still don’t seem to be the top news of the day.   At least good people are still out there!

 

2012: FACEBOOK CHARGES $1.00 FEE…WHY?

Facebook has begun testing a $1.00 fee for posting messages in another user’s inbox who aren’t your friends. Currently when you inbox a non-friends page it typically goes into their spam.  However, the new option would allow it to show up normally for those who pay a premium.  Testing started in the U.S. and if successful, it will likely spread around the world.

It’s obvious that a social networking site with over 1 billion user’s would love to increase revenues.  Once they went public there was no choice…investor’s want to see a hefty return.  This is definitely a way to allow advertiser’s to fill up your inbox with unwanted marketing schemes.

The Facebook blog page has the following post; “Today we’re starting a small experiment to test the usefulness of economic signals to determine relevance. This test will give a small number of people the option to pay to have a message routed to the Inbox rather than the Other folder of a recipient that they are not connected with“.

Many user’s have already complained about the enormous amount of ads and promotions already bombarding their page.  Imagine retailer’s now also targeting consumer’s via Facebook?  Gone will be the days of just networking with old friends and sharing photo’s, it will just turn into a money-making machine like everything else.  While they are not yet saying this is what will occur, let’s face it…this is exactly what will happen.

If it becomes an annoyance, it may cause me to terminate my account.  This will be a sad day, since it is a great way to connect with long-lost friends and family.  Mark Zuckerberg helped create a great way to interact socially…too bad he sold out in the end like so many other entrepreneurs.  But who can blame him…making money on a good idea is the American way.

On another note; Facebook has promised that the site will always remain free.  But we will pay in other ways for sure.

(PSY VIDEO) TOP WORKOUT SONGS FOR DECEMBER 2012; PSY AND TAYLOR SWIFT MAKE THE LIST

The results are in for the most popular workout songs for December 2012 according to popular website Run Hundred.  It looks like Taylor Swift is a fan favorite along with the Youtube sensation Psy.  When pumping iron and hitting the gym many are doing it Gangnam Style!

11/24/12 POWERBALL JACKPOT $325 MILLION TONIGHT! 4TH LARGEST IN HISTORY; WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

The Powerball jackpot is $325 million tonight.  It is the 4th largest prize in the history of the lottery.  If someone wins tonight they will take home a whopping $125 million (or thereabout) AFTER taxes.

It begs the question; “What would you do with the winnings?”  Many say they will retire, share it with family, go on vacation, start a charity, or go into hiding.  But do we really know exactly how it would be spent?  That is hard to truly know, since it is more cash than most obtain in a lifetime.

If it happens to be me I would likely do what the majority have on their list…especially the hiding out part.  While they say “Money does not bring you happiness”, they also say “The more money the more problems.”

Lottery tickets need to be purchased tonight before 10pm eastern time.  Gotta to play to win right?  Did you get your ticket?  What would you do with all that cash?

CHICAGO 2012: HYDE PARK RECEIVES 5.2 MILLION IN SUBSIDIES FOR HOTEL; IS PRESIDENT OBAMA THE REASON?

The Chicago Tribune is reporting the Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood has just received financial support. Aldermen officially approved up to $5.2 million in subsidies for a 131-room hotel being developed in the Hyde Park neighborhood.

It’s not surprising that the $28.6 million project, located in Harper’s Court at 52nd Place, has received political backing.  With it being so close to President Obama’s Chicago residence, it is win-win for everyone.  Does the President have something to do with it?  Well, you be the judge.
