On Friday a man went crazy in Hollywood on the corner of Sunset and Vine. It was a frightening scene caught on tape by an area resident; as a gunman walked in the middle of the street shooting at cars passing by.
It obviously was a suicide attempt, which is exactly what the man accomplished. After injuring several people, including shooting a record rep in the face and neck as he drove by in his mercedes, the gunman was killed by police. John Atterberry, the 40-years-old record executive, later died from gunshot wounds. He previously worked with the Spice Girls, Jessica Simpson and many other singers…unfortunately he was at the wrong place at the wrong time.
The most bizzare part of the story was reports of an area resident screaming, “Hey kill me I want to die!” as he recorded the entire five minute rampage. Although many are questioning why he yelled such incredible things, others believe he may have saved lives by distracting the gunman.
What a strange and unfortunate way to end your life. Police identified the man as Tyler Brehm, a 26-year-old who was apparently upset about a bad break-up. What a waste….no relationship is that serious and to injure innocent by-standers is unforgiveable.
