Physicists announced their finding of “The God Particle” this week and were elated. Scientists around the world were rocked by the discovery and stood on their feet and cheered when the news was presented.
The Director of European Center for Nuclear Research (CERN), Rolf Heuer, told scientists it is “consistent” with the long-sought Higgs boson; also widely known as the “God particle”. Which essentially helps explain what gives all matter in the universe size and shape.
As a layman when it comes to specifics of science, it was hard to truly grasp what this all means. In one of the recent articles; claims that they found a new subatomic particle went way over my head. Have they figured out where we all come from?
I’m not yet sure what this means to us all and how it will affect the globe, but they sure make it sound exciting. Can’t wait until they explain it in more simple terms…so we can better understand. Does this have something to do with “Doomsday 2012?” Is this what will change the world on 12/21/12? Hummmmm???
