(VIDEO) 12/19/12: THE X FACTOR FINALE RECAP; WHO WILL WIN SEASON 2? FAVORITE PERFORMANCE OF THE NIGHT…HALLELUJAH

SIMON COWELL PLEASE WATCH MY VIDEO AND LISTEN TO YOUR FANS!  WHO WON THE X FACTOR 2012?

The X Factor finals aired tonight and they can only hope that millions tuned in to see who would win. It was down to soulful singer Carly Rose Sonenclar, instant mega-group Fifth Harmony and country singer Tate Stevens.

They opened the show as many have this week, with at tribute to Sandy Hook Elementary School victims.  It was a great rendition of Michael Jackson’s hit song “You Are Not Alone” with the full cast of contestants.  The back-drop of the victims names, with heartfelt vocals, was a special way to honor the 26 innocent victims who lost their lives.  It seemed especially touching for Vino Alan, who was extremely passionate during his small part.

First to hit the stage was my favorite singer, Carly Rose Sonenclar.  Singing a repeat of “Feel Good”, she received huge praise from the judges.  I guess you can take the risk of singing it again, if you nail it. Carly is definitely an “old soul”, because she has vocal ability far beyond a 13-year-old.

Tate Stevens was next up and continued to stay consistent.  Right now it’s probably his to lose, since the country fans are solid and extremely loyal.  He also has a very pure demeanor and his incredible voice adds to his appeal.  Although he also sang a repeat…at least he sounded great.  It actually sounded better than the first time.

Surprise finalist Fifth Harmony were put in a great position being third.  Their mantra “anything could happen”...seems to be working in their favor.  They may be underdogs, but never really have been given proper credit and could potentially pull ahead.  Once again, their harmony was spot on and singing “Anything Could Happen” was my absolute favorite performance from them throughout the show.  When I push rewind multiple times…it’s a hit!  Could not get this song out of my head, this time nor the last.

The contestants went on to perform new songs with top artists and all rocked the house. Carly and LeAnn Rimes (was she drunk?). Tate and Little Big Town.  Fifth Harmony and  Demi Lavato.  It will be a tough night for viewer’s because they are all equally talented.  Great duo’s…great performances.  Demi just won me back as a fan of her music…but she’s still a better singer than judge.  And Carly singing Hallelujah was my favorite performance of the night. Finally…chills. Second favorite…Fifth Harmony “Let It Be”…chills again.

To switch gears…it’s still shocking to me that The X Factor has such low ratings.  Incredible talent..check.  Amazing stage sets…check.  Stellar song choices…check. Oh wait…HORRIBLE judges…uncheck.  Too many hosts…uncheck. Too many changes…uncheck.

Maybe Simon should have let Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger stick around at least one more season before changing it up… they would have been loyal for sure.  I will keep posting my video tips above until SIMON COWELL listens to his fans.  Come on hit play already!  Love the show and want it to succeed!

Who will win The X Factor?  It will very likely come down to Carly and Tate.  I’m hopeful Carly will win the $5 million dollar prize, but would not be surprised if Tate runs away with it.  Love Fifth Harmony, but not sure they will have the fan votes, however, they will have an incredible  music career.

Any bad performances tonight?  Absolutely not!

On another note…Did Britney send Carly to hat school?  Was Khloe playing school girl dress-up?  Sorry, she looked ridiculous.  Maybe she did not fire her stylist after all.  And my mom was pissed they repeated songs…but they probably had to stick with what got them here in the first place. Playing it safe…sometimes works.

2012: THE X FACTOR WAR; DEMI LOVATO VS. SIMON COWELL FEUD GETS UGLY; WHERE IS JLO?

The X Factor has been in trouble all season, getting a huge whipping from The Voice.  But the lackluster ratings may see a bigger hit after the loss of Vino Alan this week.  The blow does not soften, with the most hated contestant CeCe Fry not only hanging on, but ranking #5. Seriously?  This seems ridiculous.

But the war between Demi Lovato and Simon Cowell is also heating up.  She has been riding him all season and while he laughed it off early on, her stabs at his “old age” may be wearing on him now.  Anyone who paid close attention to their interaction this week could see that behind his smug smile, he was not laughing anymore.

Clearly the 20-year-old judge may also be hitting a nerve with viewers.  Who wants to hear a smart and sassy young know-it-all continuously remind us of how smart she is?  Not me for sure. Demi’s attitude represents many annoying twenty something’s who believe life owes them something and they’ve learned all they need to know within their short life.  Give me a break!

Early on I liked that she gave Simon a dose of his own medicine, but now she is getting under my skin.  She really pissed me off when she kept putting down the very talented singer Vino Alan and now she has rubbed me the wrong way all around. She acts as though she has been in the music business for years.  But a chick born in 1992 who just got her break in 2008 has nothing on an experienced multi-millionaire.

While typically it would not be in anyone’s best interest to protect Simon, especially after the low blows he has given contestants in the past, I would definitely support him if he popped her in the head one week. He looks as though he just may explode at any given moment, and would have good reason to snap.

Although Britney Spears is also useless and has nothing of substance to say when it comes to critiques, I would take her over Demi any day.

What was Simon thinking when he decided on a new judging panel?  Demi dresses like a grandma, has no style and is clearly immature.  Britney is weak and makes ugly faces like she is in pain. Simon may have thought he had his hands full with Paula Abdul, but he has now truly met his match.  I bet he wishes he could bring Paula back now…at least they are about the same age.

In the end, this season is turning out to be a disappointment.  It was definitely my favorite show when it came to singing competitions, but with Vino being voted off, CeCe staying and the addition of Demi and Britney…what a downer.   Even the new hosts Mario Lopez and Khole Kardashian-Odom don’t work well together.  Hopefully they can get it back on track.

On another note, it is sad that Jennifer Lopez is no longer a judge on American Idol.  She was actually the real deal…being more than a triple threat.  She can sing, dance, act, dress with style, give intelligent critiques and is beautiful. Demi could have really learned what being a true judge means from an expert with experience. Maybe she should review old footage and take notes.

11/15/12: THE X FACTOR RECAP & RANKING; WHO GOT VOTED OFF? TOP 10 LIST MAY SURPRISE YOU! OR PISS YOU OFF!

CLICK HERE TO CHECK OUT REVIEWS FOR 11/21/12….WOW!

The X Factor results aired live tonight.  It was the dreaded elimination show, which brought smiles and  tears for the contestants.  But who got voted off?  Well, there were surprises when it comes to who went home and the ranking board may be a shock to many.  Actually, I am extremely annoyed.

All of the contestants really seem likable and most have heart-wrenching stories.  But it comes down to who’s the most talented.  It was clear that the first act who was sent packing had a bad night, but others were worse.  They sent home Lyric 145 at the start of the show, so maybe the judges who said they should stick to “True Rap Music” were right.  And their mentor Simon Cowell was surely irritated, but it was strange they did not show his reaction nor ask him for comments.  Their departure really did not shock me, but the timing did.

During a short break mega starTaylor Swift performed to break the ice. She is just so darn cute and seems sincere, without being jaded by the music industry just yet.  But I really wish she would have performed her new songWe Are Never Ever Getting Back Together“.

Then on to the next contestant to hit the road.  Janelle Garcia and Paige Thomas were in the bottom so both had to sing for their lives.  They are not really my favorite singers but did not deserve to be there.  It was Janelle who was not saved by the judges.  But they got it right…Paige was better tonight.

As much as Lyric 145 and Janelle Garcia were not the best singers in the competition and probably would not have won, they left earlier than expected.

It seems that the young teens saved Arin due to his looks and charm, because I predicted he would leave along with CeCe Fry.  Boy was I wrong!  Or could it be the Producer’s pissing off the viewer’s so they vote.  How do we really know they don’t cheat a bit?  Well, I’m just saying.  If it was the viewer’s they definitely got it wrong.

And as much as Britney Spears sucks as a judge ALL of her team made it through.  Overall, it was disappointing to see some of the worst singers of the show stay, but as long as they don’t win the $5 million dollar prize I can live with it.  But seriously….CeCe beat out Fifth Harmony, Diamond and Beatrice.  Give me a break!!!

See the The X Factor ranking board for 11/15/12  below….Did your favorite rank high?  What did you think about the results?  It was clear to me Carly sang better than Tate last night…but the country fans obviously are watching.  I really do like him too, so happy to see he is doing well but Carly ranked number one on my poll.

Yesterday my predictions were posted and you can check them out to see how they compared here...https://brittaj17.wordpress.com/2012/11/14/video-111412-the-x-factor-recap-top-performance-carly-rose-sonenclar-ranking-predictions/.

11/8/12 VIDEO: THE X FACTOR USA REVEALS TOP 12; WHO WAS NUMBER ONE? RANKED IN ORDER OF VOTES FOR FIRST TIME!

The X Factor revealed the top 12 contestants tonight.  Adding to the suspense they went one step further, even listing how each singer ranked by viewer votes.  Taking notes from the other show “Duets” (Mario said no other show ranked singers…wrong) for the very first time on X Factor, fans and judges could see how their favorites were perceived by the public.

Prior to shocking the talented contestants on where they stand in the mind of viewer’s, the bottom two were announced.  It was no surprise when CeCe Fry and Jason Brock were forced to sing for their lives.

Both of them definitely deserved to be on the chopping block, but after the sing off the judges were in a deadlock.  This basically left the singer with the lowest votes by the public sent packing.  In the end, it was Jason who got voted off and was sent home, but it really should have been CeCe.  She clearly gave the worst performance of the night and Jason was a notch above her.   However, Jason is made more for broadway so this was probably the right decision.

The ranking order shocked the judges and myself and the list below may also blow you away.  As anticipated, the top two spots went to my favorites, #1 Tate Stevens and #2 Carly Rose Sonenclar, but I was also happy to see Vino ranked #3.  Take that Ms. Lovato….who said on multiple occasions she “can’t see him as a pop star”.  Boy did I call it right last night saying Carly could win it all…ok so I was close.

Simon expected his boy group Emblem 3 to come in number one, so his ego was crushed when he heard they ranked number 6.  This was actually worse than they deserved, I would have thought they would be top 3.

Showing the actual order of the votes was a great idea…but will be a downer and deflate confidence for many contestants.

Do you agree with the full list below?  Well, I was pleased with most of it but thought Beatrice should have ranked much higher.  CHECK OUT WHAT HAPPENED ON X FACTOR 11/14/12
